We were talking to some of the older members of the Society, they were telling us it was an allotment and they were allocated four plots, all built from that. When the ground level is up and running they have up and down roads, fully signalled with air operated points. A siding near the tunnels and by the station....Best wishes Chris

Hi Chris, Nice video. The grounds look very well kept, I am very impressed with the bridge portals, I guess the raised track crosses over the top of itself. Cheers. Andy G.

The ground level stays on the ground and runs around the boundary. The raised track is a figure of eight with a very steep climb to cross over around the tunnel area, you can make out from the video the cross over. It would have been better if we had rode the track. Never mind, next time we hope.

@@wooltman Our Brighouse & Halifax M/E Society did give thought to the figure of 8 over and under Chris, but we did not have the length of 'site' to allow for the gradients required. Cheers.

So sorry that you had your visit on a very quiet day. The running days after your trip have been very busy with both raised and ground level tracks in full use. Perhaps when you are next in our neck of the woods you can get to have a run around both tracks.

Hi Brad. Trust us to pick the quiet day, we thought everybody would have been out in the sunshine.. Never mind we enjoyed our time with you all. We will visit again. Will let you know when. Best wishes Chris and Rosie.

Did the Silvercrest jinty’s perform ok? Heard there has been a few problems.
@wooltman Жыл бұрын
Yes they worked well but like any new build or out of a crate loco you will get teething troubles. I have also heard that many of these Silvercrest loco's have had problems, but that can be fixed if you have the engineering skills or a big fat wallet.

@@MattF12765 Yes they look lovely. Good luck with your loco and have fun with it. Join a Model engineering society, they will help you to get started.
