Wow, they don't hang about on the ground level railway. A well engineered site and lots of railway features. Great video as always.

THE SPEED AND THE CONDITION OF THE TRACK??? And before you ask I was part of the building track team responsible for the lovely section at Reading from the level crossing round to the Station through the woods. Rugby go down as slow as 4 MPH in sections. Mind you jolting a steam boiler produces more steam. Lovely to see a very rare Enterprise in action all 3 cylinders off. Love David and Lily Reading.

Pretty sure this was the track my uncle was a member of in the 1960s / early 70s. We only ever referred to it as Tingley in those days. Got some old cine film (now on video) of a family trip up there. My uncle worked for the LNER later BR and made a 3 1/2 inch gauge Atlantic in his tiny garden shed. It was him I have to thank for my model engineering interest I think.

It could well have been Ian as the track site is at Tingley.....Regards Chris

You are so right Robin,I didn't notice it so much when filming but when we watched it back, how does it stay on the track? I think two laps at a slower speed would be a better choice....Regards Chris

Nice video Chris good circuits but shame about the speed merchants we have speed indicators to stop that sort of thing ! like that LNER tank loco Regards Graham

The speed was a bit out of scale Graham..I think the track gradients don't help steep up and down....The tank loco was lovely I could have taken that home with me......Regards Chris

Great video, thanks. I'm doing a bit of tweaking of the WRSLS website and was wondering if I could embed a link to this video? Cheers, Stephen

I am a member at west riding small locomotive society, you would be surprised how heavy those coaches are and how hard it is to run at slower speeds due to momentum and the gradient up into the station.

I have just said to Graham I thought it could be something to do with the gradients Ben,still a bit worrying though......Regards Chris

@@wooltman The track is exaggerated by the hunslet, the track is tweaked when necessary by one of our members, who has improved the track over the last couple of years. Our rally/open weekend is the weekend of the 8th and 9th of June, which should be fun. open from 10am till 5pm .
