I love those bins! Old-time trivia-back in the 50s/60s before plastic garbage bags, my parents lined the garbage cans & the kitchen trash can with old newspapers. I can still remember how to do it. Did anyone else do this?

Well! Had to stop the watching of this tutorial to go into my craft room and actually ‘look’ at my similar to the tutorial rubbish bin, and I am just amazed at how you have created your workable bins. Top marks and thank you for your time to create. P

I made mini a trash can using some crimped aluminum pie plate for the body and an eyeshadow pan for the lid, no foot pedal though but there are wee plastic garbage bags, one in and one tied off and leaning on the can. Also a wee raggedy box with empty bottles and cans and to finish it off some tiny thread knot flies "flying about" on bits of clear fishing line from my husbands tackle box. I died laughing the entire time I crafted it.

I admire your patience! Such a clever project. I bet you could protect the mechanism inside by covering it with a curved piece of chipboard so it can still function even if you fill the barrel.

Thank you Shyra😍 I did think of that like how the really are, but it would of either made the bin bigher or the trash space smaller I also thought about adding the mechanism on the outside in the back. And I decided not to go with that, but it would be perfectly fine to add it to the back you can easily hide it with side walls or leave it to be seen, I've seen that before as well. You’re always so inventive and inspiring. A few things that have been of use to me. Crimp beads. You squish them to make a metal stop and can hook a together bead wire, cord, or metal pins. Found cheaply in jewelry supply. I personally love using glue sticks on paper projects and wallpaper. Because I have some give time. Love seeing your process as it develops new thought ideas for myself. Thank you ❤
