How thin can the steel be ,,, is it an alternative to buying a dedicated '' thin '' mag drill , ie 3mm or even 2mm and a 16mm hole ?

Hi Tom, the MiniBeast Ultra minimum workpiece thickness is 5 mm. The MiniBeast Thin minimum workpiece thickness is 3 mm. Both machines have a cutting capacity of 10 mm - 35 mm. Please feel free to contact us if you need any information.
