The fact that you never skimped on any details is impressive! The foliage feels dense and kinda overwhelming, just like an actual jungle. It's untamed, and the creature perfectly pulls on the string that rings the alarm for the fear of the unknown, because that is exactly what soldiers suddenly lost in a jungle would probably feel: a fear of not knowing what's lurking be hind the next corner

The locals told the soldiers to beware the jungle. That something ancient and deadly lurked within. They didn't listen. And now it has one of them by the foot. One of the village elders told them a rhyme of the creature, roughly translated, it goes: *In the jungle, always creeping* *Always hungry, never sleeping* *Flesh of wood, eyes of red* *Be aware or you'll be dead* But they scoffed at the local culture and called it superstition.
