Details take time but are so saticfying to complete! MiniD's bow Drop Door and Cockpit Hatches turned out great. Paint is just around the corner and MiniD will be exiting the shop! Exciting times!

Your design has some very nice lines to her. I'm itching to see her done and sea trials! Your rear helm gives it that little canal boat spirit too. 👍

Really coming along Roy, love the details and front step.

The bow deck is higher than our Dianne's Rose so we needed the step down to get to shore more easily! I will probably add a similar step for our Rose! Getting older, you know Peter!!!

I really like that bow step.

Hi Mathew, I think it is a must for MiniD as her bow freeboard is actually higher than our DIANNE'S ROSE is! I like it so much, I may add just the drop pannel to our Rose to help boarding for when we get old! Lol! I don't need to cut the well though, just the drop doen step, which I supose is an option on MiniD too! I felt the well helps give the anchor a home and even a small gas can! The gas would have not risk of "sumping" into the hull so would be safe from any risk of fire or worse! AllthebestRoy BestRoy

@@roydesignedthat I'm working out a few details on The Oasis. Looks like the Marine battery bank wasn't being maintained. One was dead with completely dry cells and it was draining the second one down to the point of damaging it. It won't be long and I'll repower it all with a couple of 100 ah lithium batteries and a charge controller for the lithium. I was seriously considering doing the bow step , but I love my deck space. I like your idea of installing a step to the from bow instead of cutting into the deck. Ahhh yet another project. lol.

Nice . That curve in the side trim has the perfect look for the side of the boat .

Glad you noticed! I made sure the trim arch aligned with the round port hole! BestRoy

When in dry land camp mode could you enter from the front of the boat? Maybe a couple of steps integrated into the trailer would help. That way you could leave the motor on in case you happen upon a lake.
@roydesignedthat6 ай бұрын
The used trailer I reworked has nice walkways that would be the first step, with the drop door down, you should be able to step up! So, yes that is an option! I have chains on now, fully functional and works great!!! AllthebestRoy
