I used to use minidisc to record concerts. I still use it to record a radio show on satellite radio and some stuff off of the internet. Love the minidisc, too bad it didn't catch on in the states.

Great history. I still use my minidisc player/recorder and it’s not for sale, jealous people. 😛

Good Job. Nice Impact Wrestling reference. Also I think the miniDisc inspired Nintendo's Gamecube.

Fascinating, how long it takes for advancements to make it to the mainstream market. Great info.

+Knight79334 Thanks for the comment! I'm often reminded through my own research of how much time, research studies and money goes into the development of newer technologies; and that's just talking about mainstream consumer electronics. 😮

I was pretty heavy in to Minidisc when it existed. Not a bad format at all. Sadly, time has not been kind to my recordings. Up until a few years ago, I had a few Maxell recordable Minidiscs sitting around and when I tried to get them into my computer (laser rip style), the results weren't amazing. Over time, the quality had diminished somewhat so the project was abandoned. Who knew? No big loss but annoying nonetheless.
