Let's clarify this, without the Commander or any firerate bonuses, a Level 5 Minigunner (Regular) is capable of outputting an impressive DPS of 92 (Due to the ROF Bug). Let's factor that a Level 5 Accelerator is capable of, on average, outputting a staggering 286 DPS. Let's consider that a Level 5 Accelerator costs 63.7 thousand dollars/pounds/coins without the DJ. Half of that being on the max upgrade, a Level 5 Minigunner costs around 20k dollars/pounds/coins. So you can get 3 Level 5 Minigunners at the cost of 1 Level 5 Accelerator, this means that at a cost of 60,000 (It's actually 59,700) the Non-Golden Variant of the Minigunner has a slightly lower value than that of the Accelerator (at max level), and it's off by around 15 DPS. Let's also consider that the Accelerator has a placement limit of 8. If you want the maximum DPS for the Minigunner then you will have 37 of them, and if you want to push it 36 due to DJ or Medic, 35 to both. 8x3=24 which means that if you have all of your Minigunners placed down, they will be capable of producing a DPS output greater than that of Accelerators. 24 at minimum is required to match it, 25 or 26 if you get technical. May I remind you, this is regular Minigunner, and what tower happens to have a Gold Perk? The Minigunner. A Level 5 Golden Minigunner is capable of producing the DPS output of 130 at max level, costing around 27,700 coins/dollars/pounds, this means that 3 Max Level Golden Minigunners have a DPS Output that surpasses that of a Level 5 Accelerator. 3 Golden Minigunners have a DPS of around 390, and again, 8x3 = 24 and 35x1=35 which means that Max Level Golden Minigunners have a DPS that overcomes the mighty Accelerator, and let's account the charge and damage cap on the Accelerator, the Accelerator is at Level 5 capable of dealing 3,000 Damage before requiring a recharge, the Minigunner's is infinite. Let's put this on a chart. Let's say a Base Minigunner has a strength of 1. 1 = Max Level Minigunner This means a Level 5 Accelerator has an approximate strength of 3. 3 = Max Level Accelerator According to this scale, a Golden Minigunner is around 1.4 1.4 = Max Level Golden Minigunner. Let's put this onto a scale. You are able to place: 40 G/No G Minigunners. 1x40 = 40. You are able to place 8 Accelerators. 3x8 = 24 The Golden Minigunners can also be placed 40 times. 1.4x40=56 Let's apply the 55% Bonus of Call to Arms on each, and also subtract 3 from the Minigunners due to the Placement Limit of 40. 1.55x37=57.35 (Max Level Minigunner) 2.17x37=80.29 (Max Level Golden Minigunner) 4.65x8=37.2 (Max Level Accelerator) Just to clarify how ridiculous that is, that means if: 1 Fallen King is worth 1 point. 1 Wox The Fox is worth 1.65 points. 1 Nuclear Fallen King is worth 5 points. Accelerators with No Commander are capable of defeating a Fallen King. As shown in the video, so are Regular Minigunners. A Golden Minigunner is capable of defeating 2 Fallen Kings, or a Wox The Fox. This means that: Accelerator = 1 Point Minigunner = 1 Point Golden Minigunner = 3.65 Points. Add on Commander and you get some ridiculous DPS. I think you get my point, Accelerator's throne has been thrown out, Golden Minigunner is the new king. (Although Accelerators are better in Quad's because of the fact their placement limit isn't handicapped in those, Minigunner is)

The accel does more damage when you're playing with other people (as in like multiplayer because of placement limit) but In single player it does like 1000 more dps in total if you had all 40 of your units as Golden Minis. (If you're using normal minis you do like 300 less than accelerator even on single player but if you consider overcharge I think it would maybe even out kinda.:L)

Accelerator is still better imo this rework nerfed minis firerate which means it’s not as good at early game, me and my friend tested the ttk on a boss and accels was way faster and also on molten we were able to get our 8 accels maxed with max commanders and dj but with mini we only got around 35 minis with one maxed commander which makes accel more versatile. Even though mini has a higher placement limit like one of the comments below me 8 accels is equivalent to 36 minis and I did some math 8 accels is cheaper so accel has better cost. 🤓erm actually 🤓 each accel does 500 dps (0.1 atk spd x 50 dmg) and that times 8 accels is 4000 dps; 40 minigunners each doing 100 dps (0.1 atk spd x 10 dmg) is also 4000 dps. So they're the same. It's still crazy how a tower that costs 5k coins is equal to a tower that is 2.5k gems. Though the accel does take up less placement, meaning u can use other towers with it, like other dps and/or supports. (this does make gold mini almost always better than accel though)

You can replace medic with commander to get the fallen king even faster I used commander instead and he died much faster
