This 2021 Minijet Inc Jumbo-Jet 17 has Twin-Tuned Yamaha SVHO motors giving more than 700 HP! Reaching speeds of 67+MPH (That's 108KM/HR)
It features electronic adjustable driver seat, premium custom ultra-deck mat and a ghost-black wrap with carbon-fiber accents. The hull has 1/2" UHMW to protect against rock-strikes. This boat also has drop in storage compartments in the engine-bay, an oversized live-well as well as height-adjustable bow and stern casting seats. The main seats are custom stitched premium low-back bucket seats. There is also ample cup-holders and gear-storage for any kind of adventure in comfort and style.

is there any reason why it doesnt have a higher top end speed? something to do with the impeller? i dont know much about jets, and could you put a stern drive on one of these?

Yes you could put a stern drive but the question is why? This is a jet boat designed for shallow water operation and a sterndrive would completely ruin it's usefulness for that purpose. The hull shape is not made for choppy water so lake/ocean use would be a rough ride. A sterndrive should really be used on a different hull IMO. Couple of points on speed: The boat definitely had more to give with some adjustments but it was already fast enough for its intended use. The extra power and twin drive gives it a great holeshot and load lifting ability. Speed was lower on the priority list. The hull is not designed for speed The uhmw liner/fasteners create drag A 100hp car goes 100km/hr but generally a 200hp car does not go 200km/hr. Power is not directly related to speed in a 1:1 ratio. This boat with a single engine does 48MPH. A higher speed than this would limit its usefulness in tight skinny/shallow water.

Honestly probably not much different then a single pump boat, just with two of everything. Would be interesting to see if they have reverse and if so if it can run one in reverse and one forward to turn in place.

I think one huge benefit of this is the redundancy. No more getting stranded in the middle of nowhere when you have a mechanical failure.

Below is a comment/list we shared earlier highlighting the difference to a single engine. When sitting in the drivers seat the main difference is you have 2 throttle levers instead of one. Each engine is its own system so it can run independently from the other. Compare this to a 4x4 truck with 4 wheel steering. You have a lot more control with a twin engine setup. #1 redundancy - 1 engine is enough to plane the boat out ad go home #2 weight - 2 of these light weight engines is less weight than 1 big engine #3 twin jets handle different to a single jet so is desired by some people #4 speed - in our testing this boat outperformed what we would expect from a typical large jet installation #5 cost - at the time this boat was built this was the cheaper route to take #6 the cool factor - no one else has a boat like this

I'm guessing the twin Yamaha SVHO motors are modified to get the extra horse-power? The Yamaha SVHO WaveRunners have 250 HP. Obviously this has 2 of those, but what was done to get it up to 700 HP?
