You're getting so close to the end! Super excited for you. Newborn cloth is so fun especially compared to the toddler stage of diapering lol. Hopefully you get decent use out of these! Buttons one size is advertised to get as small as 9 lbs and it definitely looks like it could. I'm excited to try the buttons OS cover on a newborn this time around.

I'm not going to lie, sometimes it is overwhelming with 2 in cloth. I found the newborn stage to be pretty easy since I didn't have to spray poop but once I was spraying poop for my youngest it became overwhelming... spraying poop for 2 can get tiring after awhile. So many poopy diapers!! We never ever see ploppable poop here 😂 Just give yourself grace during this time. I took a few breaks from cloth for my own sanity and I don't regret doing that at all. ❤️

Use your flats and prefolds when done with them for dusting and cleaning rags

When my daughter was a newborn I had five covers and could never make it every other day for washing with my five covers. I would definitely try to find some more covers. Maybe like 2-4 more.

Yes buttons run small... I only have one but it fit him at about 8lbs 3 with small nb prefolds ... I haven’t used buttons inserts. And those thirsties are the best covers!!

You can alwas wash a cover, lay it on a towel roll it and pat it dry the hang it up in the window if you need one

Love it! Do you plan to use fleece liners for the meconium poops? We did most of our NB stash in covers and prefolds. I have quite a few of the GMD fitted too because I have seen that they are the most absorbent. My daughter outgrew the absorbency if the Alva pockets in new born around 2 weeks.

We plan to use disposables while we're in the hospital. Since I'm planning on a VBAC, but I'm well aware of the possibility of another c-section, I don't want to have to deal with cloth in those early days recovering. Either way, we're waiting until we're home to start with cloth. We have fleece liners in our toddler's collection, so I might use those if we are still dealing with meconium once we get home.

how do you attach snaps ? do I need a special tool ?

There is a tool I use. Just get on ebay and look up kam snap tool. I got a set with both snaps and the tools to place them a couple years ago.

I just got a sewing machine for my birthday (I previously would just borrow my sister's) and I was considering messing around with mama cloth. I'll film a video if I ever find get a hang of things lol. :)
