Mom of 7 with a word on meconium: It literally melts in hot water and rinses very easily out of cloth diapers, surprisingly. It doesn’t even stain. Love the baby oil tip. I’ve always used Vaseline.

I love cotton diapers because potty-training happens so much earlier, they just seem to make the connection when they feel a little wet that that was the result of the peeing sensation. Disposable diapers do such a great job of locking away ALL the wetness that babies just don't make the connection that the peeing sensation causes a wetness feeling. Both my babies wore cotton mostly, but like you mention there is no harm in using a disposable overnight or on days here and there. Both my babies potty-trained several months ahead of their disposable clad friends :-)

This is so funny. I chose those exact disposable wipes and diapers for my first born. The new Earth and Eden diapers didn’t work for my son, they leaked all the time. I love the mama bear ones. Have only had great success with those. Thanks for the links, now that my little one is a bit bigger and I’ve recovered from post partum, I’m going to switch to cloth diapers.

Please do a video on how the raw food diet worked for bob. My Quentin had the PU operation after an ongoing issue with urinary blockages .

We are going to cloth our first baby in September 😁 We are also choosing covers with prefolds. But I also got some flats since they seem even easier to get clean! Do you sun bleach your prefolds? They seems so white and bright! I’m also curious how many of each item you recommend. Do you use the one-size in the newborn stage too?

Going up the subject . I would really love a follow up on how Bob did with the raw food diet. I have a cat Quentin who had the PU operation two years ago and I’m really interested in changing him into a raw food diet
