Thank you for this video! I’ve been transitioning to minimalism and swapped to natural shampoo bars... Unfortunately, they still made a bunch of my fine, thin hair fall out. I’m going to try the baking soda and ACV rinse before using clay, instead! I so appreciate you talking about this. 🙏🏻

You actually don't even need that. Water only hair washing should work as well - no clay, no nothing.

You are amazing hon! 👏 your absolutely right all this crud they try and sell us is just bad for us and our earth..I have eczema and I had to stop using store bought shampoo and conditioner cause it just inflamed it so bad..I found a shampoo and conditioner from exederm that was supposed to be ultra sensitive to my scalp, I'd wash every other day but my eczema still was irritated so I went 4 days with water wash only, omg my face eczema actually started to clear up and my scalp didn't hurt!! So I'm on a mission now to find out what I can use to clean my scalp weekly but stay away from the crud! I loved your video..did you say starch and clay?? Hugs

Hi! I really liked your video. I took the "opportunity" of the quarantine to try the no-poo method, using water only which is not yet a success for me. I might try the cocoa powder for the bad days! :) As an alternative was thinking of trying Rhassoul clay, but a part of me wonders of the environmental impact of clay harvesting. Adding to that the transportation from Morocco to Canada (for me)...it just feels wrong. I'm still looking for other options. However, I'm really happy to watch this video and read the comments and see that more people are interested in stopping the release of products that hurt mother nature. Thank you!

have you ever tried kaolin clay in hair? ive been using it sort of as a dry shampoo, like how you use the cornstarch but I put quite a bit more on and then shake out the excess and leave it overnight to soak up the oils and I wake up with practically grease-less, volumized hair. I don't know if using clay in this way is a bad idea long term as I suspect It could lead to things like build up and clogging or whatever but ive found its a good way to extend periods between washing by a day or two.

i have very curly hair- i have a lot of hair but the strands are very fine. i dont wash my hair but about once a week. i have had trouble using a minimalist method with my hair. often they dry my hair out to much & don’t define the curls making me look like i stuck my finger in a light socket. i am currently using devacurl which is paraben silicone & sulfate free BUT i would like to become more natural for my health & pocketbook. do you know anyone who has a minimalist routine for curly hair?
@VeggieMagnifique6 жыл бұрын
Katelyn Hendricks Hey Katelyn, thanks for reaching out! I don’t have any personal experience with curly hair, but I know that argan oil and also shea butter is really popular with curly-haired folk. Maybe try that? It could be a good way to add some moisture back in after a minimalist cleansing method. If I come across any channels that treat minimalism for Curly Sues I will let you know. p.s. Curls rock! ✊🏼

I use Logona shampoo! So happy when I saw that they also have clay and it made me feel like they are somebody I want to support. But I do spend about 10€ every 2 months for their shampoo xD but it is worth it! It doesn’t have any silicone or parabhens in it and I did saw in the beginning that my hair would grease more and I wasn’t blown away by the results. After a month or so... I’ve found myself buying it again and ever since. I wash my hair once a week and it looks more and more shiny. I guess I could still do more but - baby steps. I do suggest this shampoo from Logona (its green bottle) for beginners like me :) oh yeah, and does anybody know what I can put on my scalp to have more of a feeling of thick hair? Thank you! :)
@VeggieMagnifique4 жыл бұрын
That's awesome that you use Logona! Sounds like you have a good routine. I would say that the "hair thickness" doesn't seem to change that much -- most especially through products. The best way to affect our hair, in my experience, is through what we eat. When we are healthy, our hair and nails seem to improve! :)

Great question. We don't dye our hair, but I would imagine it would work well still! Just make sure you're hydrating your hair a bit more in between washings, I would say. With a nice, pure oil on the tips. xx
@Melayahm014 жыл бұрын
@@VeggieMagnifique I have been using a Lush conditioner once a week as I'm finding my hair is more fluffed up now and a bit courser - 58 year old hair is not the same as 20/30 something hair - but it's very short as well, so the tips don't really need hydrating, natural sebum is enough. Also, I never used to dye my hair but now, undyed it just looks dull grey as well as sparse, so now I dye it purple! Roots are showing again now, so the next dyeing will show if there's any difference with no shampoo.
