Man, Mitch seems like such a nice guy. Seen so many videos of him and he always comes across personable and humble. I buy equipment from Sweetwater because of the amazing service, but having someone like Mitch at the helm really adds the cherry knowing i'm not only supporting a great company, but supporting an equally great guy.

Man that’s not minimalist that’s a brilliant design by experience… I’m trying desperately to have that much capability in a compact reasonable room… Kudos, and thanks for the tour…. I’m rebuilding my space now and I’m just sick of the racks and clutter, a space that’s functional, but not exactly relaxing or comfortable… I love it…

Nice room and gear selection. Mitch is right, it’s very important to figure out what we need, and not just what we like and would want… more stuff don’t always help you to make more music. I’m in the process to restart everything from scratch now, using a very minimalistic setup, with less gear, but good gear. I got a MBP 16” M1 Max 64GB 8TB, a Two-Rock Studio Signature head, PRS guitar…. So I can understand perfectly Mitch’s setup :)

@robertw18712 жыл бұрын
For sure, you gotta figure the best song writing and even recording wasn’t done it a giant studio with a 128 channel mixer, it was done is spaces just like this… and it’s not easy or inexpensive to create a “minimalist” rig like that… I’ve got probably 20 times the gear as he’s got in there, but I’m envious of it, because I can see the genius in how that’s actually setup… Exactly man, the small high quality setup is where it’s at for me too…

I gotta say these epic recording studios are cool, but I think as a viewer I get the best practical advise and inspiration from the minimal places like this. I live 2 hours from Sweetwater and I saw Mitch once walking to an office, I think he must have been on a schedule because he saw I acknowledged who he was, he acted like he wanted to say hello but clearly had to keep walking. Maybe sometime I can actually say a proper hello when I’m there. Great guy though! Over the years I’ve learned a LOT from him and Craig Anderton. I’d love to see a tour of Craig’s setup on here…
