I was a “silent watcher” since your single first apartment days but I want to show support by engaging in your content specially since every time you post I get excited because I’m nervous you’re going to randomly stop posting. I’m far from a minimalist but I love your vids because you’re not trying to sell me something. Your content feels relaxing & real. It feels like social medias as become are version of our parents QVC network😅 Thanks again for keeping it real 🫶🏼

Thank you so much for your support! It means a lot to know you’ve been following since the early days. I totally get the nervousness about content creators disappearing-it’s nice to hear my videos bring a sense of relaxation and authenticity! I’m here to share, not sell, and I appreciate you being part of this journey. Here’s to keeping it real together! 😊

You are very right about companies not making things to last. There’s a term for this called “planned obsolescence”. So say toasters 50 years ago were more expensive but made with higher quality materials that could actually be fixed! Now they are made to be replaced. My mom had a dryer from the 70s that lasted over 40 years with a little bit of maintenance!
@Kyraann.
@Kyraann. 5 күн бұрын
Absolutely, you’re spot on about planned obsolescence! It’s frustrating how many products are designed to break down instead of being repairable. Your mom’s dryer sounds like a true testament to quality! It’s a shame we don’t see more of that craftsmanship today. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

I love that you’ve kept it so simple all these years while also being so relatable but most importantly just living your values. Your camera is in my opinion a testament to you sticking to your values, the fact that you didn’t upgrade your camera just for the aesthetic is so much more impactful to your viewers than watching you in 4K on a new camera and it’s why I love your channel. 💗

I concur. Also moving would help but she has mentioned she wouldn't move so it'll be a life narrative for awhile..I used to live in NY, my whole life basically..& it's just not part of my goals. I moved down south where 1 income is feasible cuz I knew I wanted to be a stay at home mom. Now I have 2 kids, don't work & stay home. I couldn't see myself working to pay child care either omg 😨.. this would've never been possible if we stayed in NY. The sunshine definitely helps with my seasonal disorder too!

I’ve been trying to find a therapist but so far haven’t found one that sticks. As for the moving thing, I wish it were that easy. My partner works in the city so we cannot move and he actually loves it here so unfortunately this is where my new life is. I guess sometimes we all have to make sacrifices for the ones we love.

Groceries are so crazy right now... i just went shopping and a full raw chicken is $18... I might as well buy a precooked one for $13.
@Kyraann.
@Kyraann. 5 күн бұрын
I know, right? Grocery prices are wild lately! It’s crazy how buying a raw chicken can cost so much more than a precooked one. Sometimes it really makes you think about convenience versus cost! How are you finding ways to manage your grocery budget? I eat a plant based diet and even that is pricey when it comes to purchasing fresh fruits and veggies. Lately I've been relying on frozen veggies or seasonal veggies and fruit in order to save some extra cash with the grocery bill.

@@Kyraann. Honestly I try to stock up when things are on sale. When items are on sale I will buy 4-5 of them. I try to eat seasonally as well. I also use apps such as 'too good to go'. Literally everything is so expensive compared to years past. I usually buy these specific sugar cookies around my son's birthday and Halloween. They used to be $3.50, today I saw the same exact cookies I always buy around this time and they are now $5.99...

I diy my cut/color & mani/pedi cleaning products just dish liquid, bleach, ajax I use coupons for takeout once per week. the chinese place close by has a lunch deal for $6 and it's so much food! easily feeds 2-3 so I take my niece too I also use coupons for everything else and get most things for free or close to it shopping I spend $4 or less on ground beef/chicken. also I buy rice, dry beans, pasta, tomato sauce, frozen veggies on sale. I get apples & bananas because they're cheap and good. they always have bread on clearance for $1 or less. filtered water, instant coffee + powdered milk and sweetener makes a good iced coffee for 20 cents. dollar tree is still such a good resource. garbage bags, flossers, big bottles of shampoo etc. I air dry my laundry so I can wash 5 loads per month for $10 I walk or bike almost everywhere because it's healthy and I get fresh air and it's free bands in the park, farmer's market, museum wednesdays, library books all free those are some things I do, I live in the midwest 🤍

I know you didn’t ask for advice but here is what my mother told me a LONG time ago and I was so glad I listened (for once 😂). After your loan is paid in full take that money and put it in savings. You’ll have money to repair the vehicle or help pay for a new one when needed. I do realize the economy is tough right now and that may not be an option…

Can we get more info on your cleaning schedule? How to make one? Do you have a list? Things you do daily, weekly, monthly
@Kyraann.
@Kyraann. 5 күн бұрын
Thanks for your interest! I’d love to share more about my cleaning schedule. I typically break it down into daily, weekly, and monthly tasks. For daily tasks, I focus on things like tidying up surfaces and doing dishes. Weekly, I tackle deeper cleaning like vacuuming and dusting, and monthly, I take on bigger chores like decluttering, organizing or scrubbing our dreadful bathroom that always gets hard water stains. I don't necessarily have a dedicated list but thats a great idea for the future 🤍

Hey K. 😊 Do you speak portuguese and what do you like about portuguese culture? What do you think of having a "dream job" or having a career?
@Kyraann.
@Kyraann. 5 күн бұрын
Hi A. 😊 Unfortunately, I don’t speak Portuguese or know much about Portugal. We’ve all become pretty Americanized at this point 😓. As for my dream job or career, I’m honestly just looking for something easy, well-paying, with great benefits and no drama. I know that’s not a specific answer, but the truth is I don’t really know what I want to do. Having a career always felt out of reach for me since I only have a high school diploma. But I have high hopes that I will find a decent job soon.

@@Kyraann. ❤️ I feel the same way and I also don't have a university degree. In my early 20s, I really wanted to get a university degree because of "appreciation". Now in my 30s, I realize that I have nothing to regret, I did everything right. I think your attitude is very healthy. Many should take this as an example. And I think the same way. Whether with a degree or without, in the end, we all have the same goal: Feeling good and having a full fridge. 😊

OH, LIVE DANGEROUSLY!! Throw out your partner's stuff that he doesn't really need. He will actually thank you later.
@Kyraann.
@Kyraann. 5 күн бұрын
Oh no, I wouldn’t want someone to do that to me. Whether he uses the stuff or not, it’s a huge invasion of privacy and sends a clear red flag that I don’t respect his things. FORCING someone to declutter is never the answer, that will only cause more conflict in the future and open there eyes to not wanting to touch there things at all.
