Nice vid mate, brave in that weather! Never seen anyone try the wool blanket trick with a plastic bag! Those bags are awful for most real survival situations. The ones that reflect heat only work if you are actually warm to begin with. Better jumping on the spot before use if you can. The condensation is a problem, no one needs to be wet and cold! Glad you survived!

Good to try things when you can stop and walk away…be careful using those fuel tabs inside an area tight as that they are toxic…Have fun stay safe.

You've done it, kipping in the woods in a bin bag, albeit an orange one. Not sure how you are going to top this one???

i recorded a video sleeping in a mylar sleeping bag. I also used a trash bag for leaves to act as a matress. Tepm was -2 deg C. It sucked, but barable

Great video I think I would cut it to make it like a tarp and do a little lean to and make the roof water resistant

Well done thats a tough little challenge and excellent practice . People use these emergency bags as part of their sleep system for Endyrance races😅 me my challenge for 2024 is just to use a bivy bag for the first time , been bottling it for the last 3 years , got 3 of em 😅💪 happy new year to you 🎉

Hey my friend! It took me a little while to get used to the idea of a Bivvy but after a little struggle it’s probably my favourite way to camp now. Go for it man, sure you’ll love it! Thanks for your comment, always appreciated 👊

I'm wary of any tree thats a bug restaurant, you never know how deeply they've damaged a limb 🤘
@miken76299 ай бұрын
Good to test & work out the bugs, as for me I carry a torso pad made out of Windshield sunscreen and cut the bivy sack down the middle leaving a 3 foot foot box and made it into a top quilt. For food I carry 1 pound of Walnuts, calorie dense @ 3000/lb, shelf stable, no cook, 65% fat + 14% carbs + 14% protein - 7% soluble fiber, can eat for 2 days on 1 pound of Walnuts. Think a 9 hour candle plus a 16oz can with vent holes would be a good addition, I use a candle for starting fires since I need to hold a flame on wet wood for minutes to ignite.

Did you know KZbin are playing adverts on your videos!? Disgusting isn't it! Try to remove them, so we can enjoy the outdoors without them trying to make money out of someone sharing their hobby on the internet.

We have to put up with ads. It’s how these guys making vids get money.
