I bought one as an upgrade from a mini 4. I don’t understand the hatred for the tablet with some You tubers out there. Not everyone wants an M4 chip in a huge screen that will not fit in a pocket. Doctors and small plane pilots are two examples that spring to mind. This fits the gap between my iPhone 13 and my Mac. Plus, I get the chip for Apple Intelligence without having to pay more money to upgrade my phone.

I started with the iPad mini - yes, an iPad mini was my first iPad. And I loved it but then I moved on to iPad Pro so I can write more expansively. Now I'm on an 13" M4 iPad Pro and, yes, it's a really cool device which I use a lot - even more than my 14" M2 MacBook Pro. But this is about the iPad mini 6 - not the original iPad mini I started with but the one I just traded in for, yes, my new iPad mini 7. And, yes, I'm loving it. Yes, OLED, Faster resolution, thinner bezels, etc, etc but I'm VERY happy with what it is now. BTW I love your energy and style: keep up the good work with your videos.

iPad mini is my first entry to iOS too back when I was a poor entry level employee. Loved the iOS and eventually got the phone, but would not have converted it if I didn’t try out on mini. Now on mini 5 and still the only iPad I am using , small and very “toiletable “ is why I take it everywhere I go

Thx to this iPad my MacBook Air hasn’t been used for a week. Video and sound editing, gaming, watching content and reading it does a great job of them all. I filmed and edited some promo video on it and it did a great job

Very good video on the new mini. I have way too many tablets but the mini is in a class of it's own. I was about to return it because I prefer brighter, better displays but decided I'd keep it and just use it as a indoor reader and iPad sidekick when I don't feel like holding the M4 pro.

1st ipad. Went with 512 gig wifi + cellular so I could take 1 item with me on trips instead of Kindle and larger ipad or MacBook. Loving all it can do.

Agree with everything you said except the paperlike. The best reading experience is on the mini. I've had the 12.9, 11, 10 they all suck for enjoying a book. 100% agree that its also the best for consuming entertainment while doing chores being easy to pickup and place in any place. Pretty upset that apple didnt improve the screen but doesnt impact my use-case, its a def pickup especially with the Costco discount thats going on now.

Thkx for an honest review laced with a bit of humour. Might add i think that the folio for the mini 6 also fits the mini 7… is this your experience? My biggest wish for the mini 7 was for facial ID… i’m older and the skin pattern on my fingers changes a little with time so touch ID frequently doesn’t work reliably. Cheers!

Nice review. I’m a mini 6 owner. On the fence about the 7. The extra onboard storage is nice. May AI but I use Google on my Pixel 9 Pro for that. I just like iPad minis!

I would have loved to see a brighter display on the Mini 7, that was the only feature I was disappointed to see Apple not include. But I’m still considering replacing my 11 inch M2 iPad Pro with the Mini 7 because quite frankly, the Mini’s form factor is perfect for my iPad use case - which is just media consumption, drawing, notes, Duolingo, and the very occasional typing. PS. I have the exact same wallpaper that’s on your iPad Pro on my iPad Pro as well 😂😂

I absolutely love my mini 6! I wanted to upgrade but I really can't see why at this point anyways. I might in the next year or so. I am glad about the updated storage options but I currently have data on my mini 6 and I do not want to pay the extra for it on the 7. Either way, the MINI lineup is amazing! it is great for general public and I know pilots and doctors are using it also.

I feel that! I was on the border of returning it until I tried the iPadOS 18.2 Beta. Definitely a deal"maker" for me. iPad mini 6 is still insane value, especially used or refurbished
