From 5-6 mins a video to more than an hour now , Around 15-20 mins is fine but more than an hour to generate one video is crazy

It doesn't seem that Hailuo allows its videos to be used for commercial purposes. Even if you are on a paid plan, there is no mention of commercial use permission. Is this true?

Please help me sir. I've tried every style of prompt but still unable to geberate video clips in 9:16 ratio from hailuo ai. Neither there's any option to select the ratio. I'm on free plan.

According to the user community, 9:16 isn't a setting and not something to prompt for. The suggestion is to use image-to-video and start with a 9:16 image to get a 9:16 video.

Mini is very slow today, I was actually stunned to see how quickly they transitioned into paid subscriptions after the image to video reveal the other day.. at this point it’s going to come down to either Kling or Runway as the leader’s out front. Mini has a long way to go catching up with options the prior have to offer. The other two are already out in front with video to video. It’s really insane how fast this medium is exploding, it’s almost daily that new mind blowing stuff is coming out!

@okgo5152 Incorrect, MiniMax is MILES AHEAD of Runway and Kling when it comes to using A.I. for storytelling, as their animation is top-notch. The other features such as lip-sync are not as important for REAL filmmakers as are the ability of MiniMax to animate humans in normal-speed action. Kling and Runway are almost totally slow motion, and even their "fast motion" is mostly just a faster slow-motion. MiniMax follows prompts FAR BETTER overall than Runway and Kling. Kling is overall the best between the three, but MiniMax is still superior when it comes to animation, which is what is most important for A.I. filmmaking, anyhow. Animating in real-time speed is KEY for filmmaking, and Runway and Kling are missing the point...

@okgo5152 Nope, MiniMax animates in REAL-TIME SPEED by default, not in slo-mo like Runway and Kling, and it also follows prompts better than Kling and Runway and it also animates human actions much better.. From a real filmmaker's perspective, MinImax takes the win when it comes to classic storytelling. We don't need lip sync to tell a compelling story, but animating in REAL-TIME SPEED is what is most natural for storytelling, and MiniMax is for now THE KING of this. Most Kling and Runway A.I. films look too much the same, and over-do that slo-motion BS. 😂

@okgo5152 Even the so-called "fast motion" in Runway and Kling are mostly actually just a faster slow-motion, and this is NOT VERY GOOD for filmmaking. Yes, it does force users of Kling and Runway to be more creative in their storytelling, but it also severely limits them to overdoing the usage of slow-motion. MiniMax allows for FAR MORE FREEDOM in storytelling, in this sense. Also, Runway censors too much, and this is not good at all.

@FilmSpook thank you for pointing out the proliferation of slow-mo amongst video generators. It's a common theme in stock video too. Slow mo has it's place, but not not every frickin scene! 😄 Also, I understand your point about real filmmakers not needing lip sync to tell a story. But as someone who isn't a real filmmaker at all (so this may be a dumb question) how else do you achieve character dialogue in projects where you think it's essential? Or, do you feel like it's truly never essential to tell a story? I'm not arguing, I'm trying to learn.

how fast for 1 generation? im using runway and when i use credits it does it in less than 1 minute but the credits consume so fast, but when i switch to unlimited mode they take about 2-3 minutes for an easy prompt and 5-6 min for more complex prompts

I appreciate the effort here, but I'll be waiting for a video generation tool that isn't so closely tied to the Chinese government through its investment partners. MiniMax has major backing from Chinese firms like Alibaba and Tencent, which are heavily influenced by the government. Given China's stated aspirations to lead in AI technology, including military applications, I have concerns about privacy and the potential for state influence. I'd prefer a tool developed without these strategic government ambitions.

@@phu320 Honestly I'm not the person to ask but hopefully someone else sees your comment. There's a lot of yt's floating around the past few weeks about how to do it locally but they involve some third party program called pinokio to set it all up but seems sketchy to me even though it's open source, I just don't know enough about that stuff to take the risk. Well my PC sucks regardless lol

I have 0 credits i used to have 100 even tho i didnt use is this a glitch anyway to fix

The first time I logged in after the switch it said I had zero credits, but it let me generate as part of the 3 day unlimited trial. After the 3 days, the number of credits changed from zero to a number (can't recall how many) sounds like you may be in the 3 day window. If not, and you've lost credits you paid for, I suggest you contact their support.

If those are the free credits that hailuo gifts you for logging in everyday those go away if you don't use them within that day. Simply log out and log in again to get the next 100 creits. They have a daily 100 free credits upon logging in thing going on
