Ive been looking for a video as great and easy to follow as this. I'm only 13, but with medical family, im learning early and my sutures are getting better.
@raynew7205 жыл бұрын
When I was young (about 7-8yo), the daughter of a surgeon taught me how to sew a variety of sutures. Over the course of a few years, we lived in the country, on & off farms. It made it easy to lift practice items from the fridge, freezer, veggie & fruit bins to practice our suturing. We cut up & sutured everything from pig's feet, chicken parts, oranges, bananas, grapes, etc... It was fun. If I had ever gotten math, I think I could have at least tried to go into a medical field, but didn't unless you count volunteer work at respite centers & nursing homes along w/working as a medical transcriptionist. In my teens & young adult years, I did get to put some of the skills to work when unable to afford to go to the ER for simple skin lacs. I'd run down a suture kit, alcohol, etc... & just do it myself. Thanks for the more in-depth suture videos. I still find it fascinating.

@@z1lla4 I was a whole lot younger & had more sight, I'd surely take you up on it. Hwr, I began losing a great deal of my sight about 24-25yrs ago. I have a little light perception left, but only within a few inches in front of me. Beyond that, everything is a blur. I've even started opting to use my tablet vs notebook bc I can bring the screen closer. My notebook has something like a 17/17.5in screen, which makes it really heavy to bring closer to my eyes. In addition, I have nerve damage in my arms/hands w/neuropathy in my right arm being considerably worse than the left. (along w/Lupus, Sjogren's, fibromyalgia, & OA then damages these have caused incl'g the first two wreaking more havoc on my eyes) makes holding my notebook much more difficult. Still, please know I truly appreciate the offer. Again, if I were younger, less blind, & in a less broken up body, I'd surely accept the math assistance. I would go back to college in a heartbeat!
