I worked at a charity shop. If something is really valuable we would sell it for really high prices. We did sell some branded stuff for £300+. Some items also just got ebay auctioned.

Same happened at the one I helped out at - when someone brought in donations, they'd look up items that were donated and see what the value is. Was in a small village though, so anything expensive would go straight to eBay. Anything else would be put onto the shop floor after it had been checked.
