Bro they’re definitely not, between the time they bought sell, it’s not even prolly the same people who authorized it in the first place. The reason they authenticated it because it looked old and aged like it had sat in someone's garage for years especially when the tape had partially disintegrated and stuck to the box and all the lines of dirt in the lines of the cardboard box. From the outside it looked mostly legit but you have to open it to see if it is fake or not and by then it loses its value somewhat but this was the BEST option they had left because each individual box in the crate would still be worth more if it was real since it was a group of boxes in a crate even though the crate may be opened and box may be opened too that is still better than getting 6 individual unopened boxes and putting them in a crate

This is my theory, the guy who logan bought it off teamed up with that authentication company and they split the boxes between them then they sold fakes to logan, thats why he isn’t mad that he has to pay logan back because he knows when he sells the real ones he will make a profit and so will the authentication company

In my opinion this "expert" just lost his credibility. It would be interesting if the feds became interested for the Poke'mon clout, and started to investigate these big money collector card scams. I used to be to into collecting Pokémon cards back in the day and I remember that when I wanted to buy a singular original gen 1 card online, I didn’t just message the person asking about their authenticity, but I checked other products they sold to see if they were real, and look at reviews of products they’re selling to make sure the purchaser was satisfied. Really good faked cards look and feel just like a real card so it’s almost impossible to tell if they’re real or not just by looking at it.
