For those of you wondering Simon's trick is actually pretty easy all you have to do is do a double lift but it has to include 4 cards. After that he but the 4 back on top of the deck grabs the top two and puts them anywhere in the deck. And then does his whole magic stuff and the two cards are on the top

I realised how Simon did his trick. Simon places 9 of hearts and 10 of clubs at the top. Underneath the 2 cards he puts 10 of diamonds and 9 of clubs. When he shows them he just says 10 and nine, red and black but doesnt specify which one is which. He puts them in different places and snaps his finger and stuff. Then he picks up the 10 of diamonds and 9 of clubs but the person thinks that it is the original cards. Nice one Simon!

Simons trick shows a black 9 and a red 10 for example, below them two cards are a red 9 and a black 10 but because the reveal of the top 2 cards is too quick the person looking only has the time to process the numbers not the numbers and the colours and as you can notice simon doesn't say red 9 and black 10 he only says 9 and 10 the top two cards go anywhere in the deck and the two below act as the original two

the trick is so simple lol. He's presenting 2 cards while holding 4. There is one card behind each 9 and 10. What goes into the deck is the card behind the presented cards.

Breakdown of Simon's trick (there aren't two pairs of the same cards): Cards at the start: 9 red and and 10 black He places the two cards in the deck (no slight of hand, he places those exact two cards), but at the top he already has a 10 red and a 9 black ready to go. They are different cards, but the colour and number have switched. Cards at the end: 10 red and 9 black We think it's the same cards because we don't pay enough attention to which number belongs to which colour. SHUFFLING: In the video, Simon shuffled a couple of times. If you have an uneven pile, so that the bigger pile contains the top four cards needed for the trick, the top four cards will still remain at the top if you use the shuffling method that Simon did.
