What. Do you know his strategy is? He drew cards to help out the other person, it doesn't matter if he can play or not, as long as the other person has fewer number of cards he just need to find card that can compliment the partner. It's a team game for a reason!

Lets be honest, there was no reason not to just say "yellow" at the end. It cuts out the chance of confusion and it's not like it's going to give anything away seeing as everyone would then see him pick yellow anyway. If anything Simon just gave away that Ellum had a special card
