Love the minimized look of the shotgun. Maybe you should've used copper flashing to cover the barrel seam? As it oxidizes & gets that distinctive patina, the color will match the green plastic that eventually shows thru as the paint wears.

Excellent as always. I left the ARs in mine to retain its single shot ability as well as removing that silly rotation mech. Shotgun when I load two, over powered single shot when I load one dart. I built mine before I saw your episode of "can it take a k26" that featured your full sized one. Using hose to bridge that gap is clever. I used BIC pen tubes and caps to work like mini pvc. Took a lot more work to achieve the same goal as your more elegant fix sadly. Didn't think I would like the minimized look but I'll be damned if I don't. Might have to acquire another for a shorter one too.

+Captain Xavier Would be interesting to find out how much power is being lost in the ARs. I sealed all the possible spaces where air could escape with contact adhesive, as well as the space where I bridged the gap. Bet I'm still loosing some fps vs a straight shot, no AR setup. Definitely loosing some vs this glorious cutdown one what with the removal of a good chunk of dead space. I look forward to your preference after trying out. Love your vids.

+Captain Xavier Just finished your full size video. I love ya man, I really do. But you are over thinking the hell out removing that front barrel section. No need to pry it with flat heads. Just apply constant pressure with your thumb pushing it forward, and lightly poke each latch with a screw driver. Pops right off, no fuss.

You should paint a blaster that you will use often in silver, clear coat said silver than paint over said clear coated silver with black so when it wears it will show silver underneath.

I have this blaster. I've always hated it. Two shots, fired one at a time, no break action and those ugly spat things. I just have it because I love double barrel shotguns. I've been thinking of modding it to fire both barrels and x4 half darts (or multiple Valken rounds when I get some). That way it feels more like a buckshot. Might try this visual mod too. God I would love a double barrel Sledgefire that isn't just two Sledgefires slapped together. Looks waaaaay too fat.

EIR is primed in grey but anything that takes off the top coat tends to take off all the coats. But personally I like that is wears to the colorful plastic. It reminds me that they are toys and that it is a game and thus never to take myself too seriously. After all, I am a full grown man playing with Nerf. :D

Love the minimised look. Looking forward to the mod guide. Is there any way I can beg, persuade or just plain ask you to do a mod guide on a slingfire? Oz nerf used to do a kit that included a slip clutch but alas it has been discontinued and increasing spring power caused the gears to slip. Very annoying as I much prefer the look to the buzzbee sentinel but the performance is atrocious.

Hmmm...well as far as I know the Stampede was the first blaster to come with and 18rd straight mag. But the Alpha Trooper came with the 18rd drum and I think it came out first. Unless there is some obscure really old blaster that I do not know of.

Sledgefire is shells, shells are trash, and roughcuts at least in my experiences have a problem of jamming after about a year.

I love the roughcut for having multiple shots but this thing has almost twice the range so there is that. I need to mod my roughcut to see if I can get some better performance. The same goes for the sledgefire. They are on the mod list. I will get to them...someday...

Captain Xavier there isnt much you can do to a rough cut because of it's smart AR making it hard to find a spring that gives it noticeable power whilst leaving the one and two shot functionality. Although, an 8 shot shotgun would be a good last-ditch HvZ blaster

Captain Xavier for my uses i am not trying to hit targets far away. the rough cut would be there for when I get caught off guard while reloading my m6 boomco pistol. I am using to spray darts on the attacker in a tight situation
