We are having an issue with pinks, corals, etc. Seems like the different shades of pink print the wrong shades. The corals turn out bright orange. then other shades aren't right like picture either. It seems to be only the shades of red and lighter to coral etc.

hello .. having a epson 3880 dtf printer with that first cartridge is filled with cleaning fluid ,, so how do you use that one cartridge to clean the print head... or do i need to really need to buy a whole new set of nine cartridge for cleaning fluid

I'm using acroRIP 10.5 and an freshly converted XP-15000 with cheap aftermarket cartridges (yes i know they are really bad if you don't have a damper system with CISS, it can flood it) but the colors are mostly printing great. When it gets to the darker colors like black and dark green it has tiny cracks and vertical lines. I can't find a single bit of info. I blew through 30 DTF sheets trying to get it right with the colors and what not. still unfortunately I can't get it yet, but I will not give up until it prints good. Any help would be nice.

Wouldn't you just print the swatches out with the codes on them like in the pic on the pc? That way you know which pantone code to use right off the shirt.

The ink limit percentage will vary, for each user, based on the brand of ink, humidity in the work environment, and printer model. a good start would be 40% on average. Then, increase the percentage if your whites appear translucent.

The way to combat this is to try changing the ink limit percentage. How this will work is, the higher the percentage; the darker the hues will appear. What will also be a factor, would be related to what resolution you are printing at, within your Rip software. The higher the resolution; the darker the image.

It depends on your model printer, inks and film, but 80 seems a bit too high. I like to stay at around 30-35 for colors

Im having an issue with color shades. For example I make a red sphere, then add a darker red for the shadow. Its very easy to see the difference in the computer, even after converting image to cmyk for viewing. But once printed the shadow is far too close to the red base color. Which makes it seem just like a nearly solid red flat object. Any suggestions as to why this could happen??

My guess would be that your ink limit percentage is set to a higher amount, starting with your chart. Let's say your ink limit percentage for color is 50; the printer will lay down more of each color, so while darker, it's still fairly close to the other red value because of the percentage. What you could try, is reprinting the chart at a lower ink limit percentage---maybe 30 percent. Then, reselect your red values and try to print the artwork at the same ink limit percentage. This should lay less ink down; making it easier to notice the two different values of red. The reason why it looks different on the monitor is because the computer has no way of accounting for the ink density. Hope this helps

Even though i don't use the same spectrum of red for shadows. I always go down slightly cooler in spectrum and then darker but it gets lost vastly after printing. Im honestly lost at this point.

Yes. All you have to do is buy some large zip-lock bags and small silica bead packs, to absorb any moisture, over time. The transfers can last for years, this way.

the values for your cyan may be a bit higher, compared to your other colors. If you are using AcroRip, you could lower the individual ink limit percent for your cyan and you should see less blue in your greys. This will require much testing. It really just depends on the inks you're using. You may want to try and have an ICC profile prepared for your specific printer model and your inks. This will ensure that your colors will be accurate.

If you print grey and you notice that they appear blue, lower your cyan ink limit percentage, in the field below the main ink limit percentage field, within the color tab, on the lower-right side of the screen. If you notice the greys are pink, do the same for your magenta channel. If the value starts at 40%, lower it to 30% and run a small test print.
