They most likely would get more potential candidates if they raised the age limit. Older isn't always better, but in most cases you'll have more mature, level headed w/ life experience people.

I believe you also get 2 tries per test. I highly doubt they will chick you out for failing 1 test.

CDRC and CBP Border Patrol has better longevity. CHP is nonexistent in San Diego County. Everytime you call dispatch about extremely reckless drivers from the Tijuana border they just say it’s normal. A lot of people with road rage from waiting 4-8 hours crossing the border everyday into San Ysidro and Otay Mesa, it’s literally like Grand Theft Auto passing on the shoulder/breakdown lane, changing 4 lanes through the gorepoint to not miss a freeway interchange 805 North to 15 North to Escondido from Chula Vista. From Escondido to Temecula it’s like the Autobahn with CVEF officers completely indifferent to triple digit speeders even though they have a whole bunch of Dodge Chargers and Ford Explorers parked everyday in the same spots at the station not even running radar/LiDAR in the median. I’ve seen better and consistent traffic enforcement in Arizona and they can learn many things from Arizona State Troopers…
