Appreciate the video. My Bobcat keeps on earning. I swpa IOT for HNT and SOl so it has a chance to multiply. Did you purchase your Bobcat from an authorize deadler or on eBay? If the former, you should get $40 refund from them to cover those fees. Sad that Bobcat isn't being actively supported any longer. There are videos where you can add software to the miner to mine other coins which increse profitability.

Yeah, I got it from a guy who didn't know he was cool, so I just paid so it could start mining. Yes, I am going to look into the other mining options. Thanks for the heads-up.

This happened to me exactly the same way last year except that rabbit hole landed me up creating a Phantom wallet, don’t remember why. But I’m excited to know now you can mine 12 different coins with the same helium miner. First install crankk then there you can find all of the other mineable projects to make you some money, this is not financial advice. Good luck!

I got one used and didn't know the ownership would have to be transferred...the guy says he can't because he didn't own it. So I have a brick or paperweight

Try flashing it with the Crankk installer, Crankk support might be able to help you.

I can't get the hotspot working it makes error when you confirm to pay Helium Wallet??? How do you make this work.

Close the wallet app, and all other apps. Re open the wallet at and go thru the prompts to ‘create new wallet’

My Bobcat 300 is not doing anything for last 3 months now. I don't know how to update the firmware, and even if i can see it within the IP/web or Helium Wallet app, diagnostics don't give anything... Is there any app / technique to force update ?

I get IOT with mine not worth much last time I did the math it was like maybe 100 bucks a year. Doing it more for the fun of it. I also have some ITO devices that use it.

That's a loaded question. If you download the Helium Wallet and scan for it you should be able to mine IOT but you have to pay 40 bucks to register it or if it is used I think it is 10 to change address. I can mine other stuff check the comments I have never mined any other coins but I am am going to try and will make a video.

They swapped to IOT. I used the Helium Wallet app to update them, or maybe I had to log in to the IP and do it via the web thing. I like to click collect my rewards once a week. I'm not sure they will ever be worth anything, but it was fun to set up.
