Oregon has some of the best looking gemstones. Fire Opal AND a rare variety of gem Feldspar with not only colors of orange, red, and green in them, but also literal pieces of copper in them along with adularescence effect. I wish I had both but I haven't gotten around to buying any or finding any yet.

@@outlawrocks in the early 1900s in san diego the sports equipment producer Spaulding founder helped crest a small town on the beach named ocean beach. He did alot of building and he created a place called lomaland also, a building he helped build was for the thesophical society for intellectuals the building was based on Hindu buildings it had 2 domes one was made from amethyst and had alot of lights under it and at night was used as a lighthouse to keep boats off the cliffs cause it glowed a light purple.
