Thanks! I worked hard on my picado when I was a child. I never learned any flamenco composition from tab or sheet music. For me it's faster and easier to do it by ear.

This is actually the biggest compliment a performer can possibly get. The goal of every player interpreting someone else's music is to glorify its composer.

Grisha has the most haters out of any guitarist I've seen. Everything about his playing is outstanding, no argument. And don't give me anything saying he has no passion or rhythm because your just trying to find anything that's negative to say about him.

Don't worry there was time when Spanish hated Paco de Lucia itslef ...to the point that he physically attacked after which he was hospitalized as well.....but when he became popular World wide ... Spaniards started praising him..... They think it's there monopoly over flamenco but Paco broke the barrier and made it international... I myself make flamenco vidoes of Paco de Lucia songs and get backlash from Spaniards only ..

I think everyone starts somewhere--- keep in mind that great performers aren't always composers---- they take their own point of view and apply them to others work. Paco expanded on a lot of traditional music and made it his own with all his dazzling technique and strict rhythm that never strays from its roots.

The truth is you can get much of this music on "tab", but this guy is well enough advanced that he should be able to pick up what he wants by hear. Whether he did or not isn't that important, most players at this level can, pretty normal and not worth comment. To those of you blown away by this guy, come to spain, there are kids that can play just as well and they make you feel it much more. This guy is very good and deserves credit, but... educated yourselves on what is flamenco.

@dantesque118 жыл бұрын
Sublim ! He has improved his flamenca technique since the last vids. He is better. It seems that, after having played for a long time classical guitar, he now wants to practise just flamenco : he is right, flamenco rules, and his right hand (loog at this fingers doing rasguaedos !) is made for this...

Grisha Goryachev Grisha, as a fellow Russian, I wanted to ask, what was it like learning and getting accustomed to the compas' of different palos in Flamenco Music. I understand you started playing back in the USSR, and I presume exposure to flamenco art was limited back then, unlike for the spanish guitarists, who grew up hearing the rhythms. I think learning technique is self explanatory, but what was your approach to learning the compas? cheers, vitalik

even if you are playing guitar only for like three years you will easily be able to play anything with your eyes closed.
