Probably my biggest regret is that they don't have a different attack than their "normal" versions. It would emphasize their independence from the originals, but it's hard to say. Or have the alternative of using them as actually helpers with real functionality (not just running around characters). And I'm proud of my miniatures, especially Breeze.

Okay but to be fair...the Mini giants probably have the bigger versatility because guess what? They still do the same damage as a giant(i think) and have the same radius...SOOOOO im just saying! Smaller target + Same strength attack = Mini Giants nuzlocke

Minis seemed to exist as a "budget" offering. Smaller Skylanders sold in cheaper bundles for families on a budget or kids with pocket change.

I cannot make up my obbsesion with having skylanders when i was a kid i wanted them so bad that i managed to get every single sidekick/mini along with most of the skylanders up until imaginators where my parents just didn’t have enough money to buy as many as they used too. I have like 2 massive bins full to the brim with skylanders.

I think the minis partially contributed to trap team selling less. So many figures that year probably overwhelmed consumers. Just look at how bloated and confusing the poster is compared to every other game.

@@frogmouth2 I agree. Probably everyone who bought Trap Team only invested in the Trap Masters and Traps, since they're the most useful things in the game. Cores can't even unlock gates now, it sucks. Swap Force did this much better. You only really needed them for the 8 movement zones. For gates, you could just play 2 Skylanders with another controller, and some gates still only needed 1 element.

To give credit where credit is due, I would never be caught dead playing as eruptor or jet vac, but weeruptor and pet vac at least look funny.

A bizarre detail, but they have mentioned a Skylands miniverse exist, where everything is smaller. It’s weird to think there’s also miniature Villians in that universe most likely

Minis are just glorified variants with unique animations and low health, to put it lightly. I think Toys for Bob knew that, considering there are reports that, during development of Trap Team, they’d pretty much only work on the Minis in their free time. I feel like they’d be way more worth it if they offered a genuine alternative to their regular version? Maybe let Eye-Small’s eye zoom around at high speed while his body has to stay still? Maybe Pet-Vac’s small size compresses the air from his gun and makes it stronger, but he can’t hold as much air. Give Bop an infinite roll but only let him summon one rock wall. Let Trigger Snappy’s guns go out absolutely nuts but his machine gun is slower to compensate. Don’t let Drobit spam his lasers and give that to the bladegears instead. I don’t care if it makes them worse, it makes them DIFFERENT. Their names are pretty good though.

i played all my skylander sgame on 3DS as a kid, and my parents would always buy me the minis for my trap team game (favoirte) i think i had drobit, bop, small fry, tree rex, and gill runt as minis, funnly enough the only one i still have is gill runt. love ya mom ❤

I can agree that the mini skylanders being so little (pun) the to table but in my opinion at least I do like them design wise. It makes the designs of the characters look really fun and cute to look at, just a shame they didn’t get their own unique mini wow pow to make them feel a bit more different than just “make the series 1 and giants smol”

Playing as the minis is a bit worse than playing the originals, since they're weaker. They do make the harder difficulties more challenging.

OK I wont lie I kinda like the mini more as fun little skylanders but with that this is something I read the minis were not planned by toys for bob it came as request of activision they had to go back and redo some of the code of the sidekicks that were made as minis but I think they are fun but it kinda would have been neat if they got their own special attack just as something extra

Hey I think there’s a typo in the video title. It says “pointless” when it’s supposed to say “perfect” (I just love these little guys so much they’re so cute, but that’s just my opinion)
