I have a stroked out 2.3 mustang asphalt ministock I raced when I was 11 it looks beautiful mustang looking body but it sits very low and with a low roof looks beautiful and it has a big stroked out 2.3 with a VDL racing holly based 500 cfm carb with headers and all, Ford nine inch floater with track bar setup screaming at 10,000 rpms off into the corners on 110 race fuel and running on 8 inch wide hooiser racing slicks, at the half mile asphalt track I was turning lap times faster then pro latemodels and close to mid pack super latemodel times at top speed of 115 mph which is flying on a half mile but we mainly raced down road in them at the 1/4ile bull ring out side 1/4ile. I really do miss the old school style mini stock racing it was a blast and you could build a high horsepower motor for 4500 to 5,000 or if you really want to spend money you just pay nine grand for an esllenger mini sprint 2.3 l all aluminum motor. Last time I took it to the half mile for open practice night was few months ago on new motor I built well dad did in 2004 and we showed up for the first race of the season and no other mini stocks shut up and that was the last time a 4-cylinder mustang ever hit the track and race was that nice I ran it with the front wheel drive guys just to race the thing and I was 11 when I did that and now I'm racing big expensive V8 pro truck class and super stocks on asphalt and then I'm racing a dirt super stock. Just don't Dino the motor you got in that car so you can be very disappointing the horsepower probably so I guarantee it's only making $120 to maybe 200 the most to the rear wheels and my fully built stroked out many stock was making $326 horsepower the rear wheels and 398 the crank which is a lot of power for a 2.34 cylinder especially back then in 2003 2004. I got to run it at least two seasons before the class quit and one championship in both seasons in it and it was my very first race car and one of my very first race ever and it as well with no practice when I was 11. We had pintos Corollas and mustangs at race in that class and there's 32 cars that I'd beat on my first night and we would average anywhere from 20 to 30 cars every single night that little quarter mile track in this class so we're running two and three wide on this high Bank wide quarter mile asphalt track and it's very small because only an outside quarter mile D shape track
