You can really hear the Killing Joke, and Bauhaus era Daniel Ash guitar styling in some of this. I miss Ministry. So glad I got to see them live. Scary pit.

I think that Al should take everyone by surprise and do another synthpop album. I'm sorry but Revenge is still one of my favorite Ministry songs which sounds real fuckin weird considering all the awesome industrial tracks they came out with later. Or they should re-record With Sympathy as an industrial album just to see what comes out of it.

That would be corny...at least, Al's just getting to the point while being overly simplified in doing so without forcing it, thus it's not so much corny as it is merely just a fun simple catchy jingle of a tune. And God forbid Uncle Al does something more PPP oriented cuz these asshole metahead and industrial wanna-be so-called fans are so uptight and self-righteous and spoiled rotten lol fuckin assholes

If you support the movement, maybe you should start by supporting Ministry's efforts to support the movement, get it? By the way, I'm working class through and through, my parents didn't had money to send me to uni and I was far to busy working 12 hour shifts in building sites, factories and/or warehouses to have the energy to study at night.

I expect Minsitry do make such a song, and its not boring 'politics', then all would be. No at least they did speak up, support the Occupy/99..something most shitty bands did sadly not..all being scared to be too 'political', or being associated with camping hippies hehe, as media wants us to believe. No Ministry said byebye Tea parttimers, take the square! So big respect for that and keep up the good work Ministry people!

Al did denounce it a long time ago, but the problem is his excuse doesn't hold up under scrutiny. He blamed the record company for "over-producing" it and also said he was going commercial so he could buy better equipment. But there plenty of video of him playing live from that era where he clearly sounds more like Culture Club or Depeche Mode than he does Minor Threat and then that doesn't explain his very poppy early stuff on Wax Trax.

Al still looks badass, even more so, an' he sounds even better, an' I know their music over 2 decades, the Relapse album is awesome, an' the new band are as tight as any Ministry, probably even tighter than all other Ministry line ups. I just seen 'em last week, an' it was a fuckin' screaming live show. 99 Percenters is an alright tune, but not the tune the album should be judged by, and definitely no way as good as the rest of the album. Top notch metal music. MINISTRY,,, yiz fuckin' rock...

Ad N-A-U-S-E-U-M. No "i" in nauseum. And Ministry actually ranks up there among the most intellectual bands in rock and roll (far more so than bands like The Beatles and such). Al has some irrational beliefs regarding conspiracy theories and "spirituality" but his politics are spot on.

i'm almost with you there. whip and chain was a decent song on dark side of the spoon. but what really pisses me off is the following: al has stated relapse would "be brutal and freak a lot of people out". the only thing that freaks me out is that this is straight-up pop music and if it wasn't for the slightly distorted guitar and the vocals, this song might have been on with sympathy for all I care..
@whiskeyman51011 жыл бұрын
I think you just proved David's point! LOL. "With Sympathy" is NOT the name of a song, but the name of an album (and it has no songs on it called that). LOL
