Apothecary White works nicely on Corax White Spray, which should give a brighter white overall (although Corax White is technically also slightly grey)

Apothecary White looks BEST over Wraith Bone. Come back and do some highlights with Vallejo ivory (or similar off/almost pure white)

What would happen if you drybrushed the white over the grey seer at the very beginning and then applied the contrast over that? Better or worse result? Seeing as the contrast paint is sort of like a glaze and a wash combined, wouldn't it work to bring all the drybrushed highlights down and make the transitions more appealing?

How are Contrast paints working over a pure white primer? Haven't seen anyone try this approach - could you try that instead of the usual ones maybe?

Awesome again Kris. OK, I am now convinced, the Contrast Paints ARE a "heavy wash" paint. Apparently it's tough to get them now, and the prices ranges from around $8 US for EACH... I think I may hold off to see if they put them at all in kits down the line??? But, very cool vid. I understand now what you mean to quick-er-er knock out a model in a basic format. I'd like to see you use the contrast paints, then further details for a "competition piece", just to see if helps you? HHmmm.... Things that make you go ... HHhmmm? :) Later friend!

Would recommend you do the black first so you can fix any boo boos before moving onto the armour and dry brushing.

Sorry but it looks to me as if you’ve painted Grey Scars not White Scars. Is there a base colour that would give whiter White Scars?

If it gives you some relief: The red is actually amazing when you use it, just takes some practice. The black is kinda not great, but if you go a regular layer, then a thinned layer, it ends up really good The metal substitute really does look terrible, and I can defend jt

Kris love what you do every time you paint, but I'm disappointed in how the contrast paint results on the model. I can't see why one would need contrast paints to paint white: it just looks like one could a achieve the same result with 'regular' paints.

I do like how the white contrast looks after. But a whole contrast model looks so ugly to me. I do get you get them done quick, but I would get so annoyed looking at an army I owned having that contrast finished look

Looks *so* sloppy. Battle ready or bin ready? You keep going "eh I won't touch this up because it looks pretty good in groups" but it really is because doing touch ups with contrast paints is absolutely nightmarish bouncing between grey seer and contrast and defeats the whole selling point of the paints.
