These battlereports remind me of a documentary. I love the direct contact with the viewer, though it also breaks up the continuity and immersion from the games that are played without cut-away-commentary. All in all I do like this new style!

I am liking the new format more and more. I love the overhead views for the table, deployment, objectives. I like the more overhead view for dice rolling as well. I am interested to see more guests in this format to see if they are able to really do the interview style of intro.

Like the new style, especially with how you guys did this, was casual, easy to follow, wasnt cut up too much and there wasnt too much unnecessary bits to the game. Would love to see you do a 'How to Play' Warcry video, definitely made me re-consider picking up a box of it

Warcry has been my main game all pandemic long! My sister likes it cause it's quick and relatively easy so she plays it with me. I got her to play a 3 hour game of AoS for my birthday though. Can't wait to get to go play at the local games stores again...

I'm loving the new format and the fact that you brought back Warcry! Have you thought about running your games as campaign games? Each producer could have multiple campaigns going with multiple warbands so you can still change things up.

5:40 Just a heads up Matt, that was an illegal move. Under the normal moves section (pg 41) "When a fighter moves normally, the center of their base must remain on the battlefield floor or a platform at all times, unless they are moving over low terrain." If you check the platform rules on pg 46 it says "a platform is a horizontally flat surface area larger than 1 inch by 1 inch..." Technically, the tops of the wall sections not covered by flooring are off limits for moving models. Just a heads up for next time! 👍

There is measuring when moving. Each character have a move value on their card. If it says for example 5 it means you can move 5 inches per action where you decide to move. You get a measuring stick in the starter box as well.

Just so you know: you cannot actually walk on the walls, as you did at 5:40 for example. You can only move on platforms, which have to be at least 1" by 1" to count as such. (In this case it obviously didn't matter much, as you could have gone around the wall and then up, but I just point it out for future reference ;) )

I don't think that is right. Page 43 in the book says: "Although the edge of this fighter’s base hangs over the edge of this platform, this is an allowed move because the centre of their base has remained above the platform at all times. This allows models with larger bases to still use walkways and small platforms." I don't see any difference between wall and platform in the rules.

Still don't see the point of trying to look like a reality tv show. All you're doing is making your videos look fake and clinical. Removing all the fun and actual gaming in favor of... what precisely? I see people calling these videos more professional, but all I see is a bunch of pointless "interview segments" that add nothing at all, and the removal of everything people liked about your videos in the first place. Jumps cuts all over the place, removing most of the actual game play. Too concerned with trying to look "professional", than playing the game and having fun. You're adding more work load for editing, and for what? Risking that a lot of people are going to leave the vault, which I am on the verge of doing, because they can't stand the new format... because I can't. This one wasn't as bad as the others, but it still feels forced, and contrived. Fake and sterile. Sterile is good for surgery, not for playing games and having fun. You are gambling that somehow this is going to bring enough new people in to make up for the losses, and stagnant growth you've had issues with. What is the upside to this? Dave gets to feel like he's making tv shows instead of online gaming videos? No one started watching your stuff because they wanted to see a reality tv show. They wanted to see people they enjoy watching, playing a game.

I couldn't disagree more. I like this format, it's quick and easy to understand what is going on. They are appealing to people who like wargames but don't have 2 1/2 hours to watch one on youtube
