This is definitely one of my favourite batreps I've seen! One of the best things about watching battles from studios like MWG is getting to see all the big exciting models and armies that are out of reach of most players, and when both sides bring unique and fun armies, it's always cool to see!

Thanks for sharing on instagram that you played these two games. I am trying my hand at Nids and learn a lot watching you. For example, using the spawn to make sure your opponent can’t get within line op range! Also, listening to Stud or Scrub, I realize that I must comment more. Great work! Yes, I guess I am one of the 7.

See, that is why I quit the game. I mean, all of the restrictions to what units you can and cannot play. I remember the days of when you just played with what you had. Who cared about points or detachments or legends stuff. Afterwards was beer and pizza time with everybody. Those were good times.

@louisazraels7072 I know. But most everyone in my area only care about meta lists and comp play. Hence I'm moving to play HH. More thematic games.

I still play with legends and such, hell we have even made up rules for older models that just seemed fun. I made a Doom of Malan’ta model (neurotyrant with a trygon body I salvaged that someone broke) with rules that seemed cool and fit decent that were not super wild, but we had a blast. I enjoyed killing Psychic models with him. lol Competitive is nice just for some semblance of balance, it’s always up to the dice but really the idea there is even a close proximity of armies around 50% with how many armies exist, is quite mind boggling. “Usually” none below 40% or above 60%. I know they kind of combined some recently with the imperial agents I think but still is like 24+ army’s. That’s a fairly decent feat, with all rules involved.

That's called Narrative and Open play. The codex astartes is a set of rules to guide us, to shape how we are as Ultramarines. And you have failed.

You get a cover save past 3+ nowadays? i thought it didnt improve past that

Long story short is yes you can Each time a ranged attack is allocated to a model that has the Benefit of Cover, add 1 to the saving throw made for that attack (excluding invulnerable saving throws). Models with a Save characteristic of 3+ or better cannot have the Benefit of Cover against attacks with an Armour Penetration characteristic of 0. Multiple instances of the Benefit of Cover are not cumulative - a model cannot benefit from this rule more than once at any one time. If you start with a 2+ or 3+ the cover can help you keep that save but not get better than the base save
