This is the best tutorial video for flashing the popular MINIX'es. Well done sir. I am going to use this for my Neo XH Plus with that corresponding image-file from minix. That won't be the finless rom of course. Pushed *thumbs-up* on this video. I have a windows 10 laptop.

HI There, I've just done this update on my Neo X8-H Plus, and when I plug it back into the TV all I get is the new Lollipop Super ROM 1.0 Screen. It doesn't seem to load from there. I have left it for 10mins and no change. Have also reloaded the software again and with no different result. Any advice....?

A micro usb to usb. The metal part of the micro usb that comes with the minix is a bit longer than conventional ones

Tried it again with a different cable and it picks up the device but doesn't fine the device in the usb burning tool any ideas?

Have come across it previously that some usb cables are for charging only and do not or are incapable of passing data

When I press reset and power button, nothing happens. What could be the problem? Already used 3 different micro usb cables but still the same result.

Don't know if you'll see this, but I had the same problem, the solution is holding both the reset button and the power button until the device connects to your pc. The screen should also turn on, but that's not a problem. I needed to try twice before it connected to my pc tho.

I put kitkat on a mnix x5 dual core once. Still running like new. It took me an hour. I have a medion tablet that runs 2.3very badly. I want to go to ktkat but Im not sure how.. What is jailbreaking?

This version does not include Ethernet only WIFI. Is theres a possibily to use the device with this version using Ethernet?

I use ethernet on my Minix. Can anyone validate this ROM is Wi-Fi only ?

Hi,Im having problems with my box,Its stucked on the loading screen and my laptop does not recognize my device,Any help please??

If your laptop does not recognise an external device then check this out. With the minix micro usb port being inside the casing Minix supplied a 7.5mm depth micro usb whereas the average one is just 6mm. One solution would be to buy a 7.5mm and the other would be to open up the Minix (prise open), undo the four screws inside to remove the board, insert your micro usb and power it up outside the casing.

@@DrivewayDudes This will not solve the problem. I have the original otg microusb I also open the box but without results. Till now I upgraded my minix a lot of time, now it is not recognized on 4-5 deferent pc. I tried on win7 winxp, win10. Can you tell as somebody right answer? pls.

New subscriber here I had exactly the same problem in your other video i used software for the X8 plus and bricked my box> i found your video restored it then used your link to upgrade to lollipop. It was up and running had everything working good the i unplugged it too move back too tv room now when i turn it on blue light only come on for second the shut off, it wont start after all that lol

Did you try it where you originally did the upgrade to see if it's working? It was slow to boot when we initially tried it. We also observed an intermittent handshake issue with the hdmi but unplugging the hdmi lead and powering down the minix reconnecting the hdmi then powering up appears to have solved that.

@@DrivewayDudes I just did the upgrade in a different room the problem is when you go to turn it on it turns on for a second and then the whole unit shuts down and turns off

@@chubbybrothers Sounds like a power issue. If the upgrade wasn't successful then it wouldn't boot but the power light would still be lit

@@DrivewayDudes the upgrade was successful I had everything up and running updated all my apps installed Kodi it was working fine I unplugged it to move it back to the TV room and when I went to plug it back in now it won't turn on so I guess I have to assume it took a crap just right after I updated it but the update was working fine

Scott barton i am trying to upgrade my box too and from what I’ve been reading after the upgrade you were supposed to power down the minix from the power button and reboot it for the upgrades to take place. Did u manage to solve the problem?
