Gwanhee has this rivalry thing with Minkyu. The way he got mad at Hajeong for not choosing between him and Minkyu😂, and because he went to paradise with Gyuri who he was interested in. He didn't change his green outfit as Minji asked, but Minji needs to do as he says. He has feelings for Hyeseon but she (unlike Hajeong and Minji) doesn't give him the assurance he wants, which is ironically also why he is attracted to her. Minji is so immature and acts like a teenager at times.(Hyeseon and Hajeong are the same age as her) I support her choosing who she wants but her action in the helicopter was disrespectful. Mostly to Minkyu and Hyeseon but to everyone. She needs to stop touching a man who is coupled with another girl! Gwan hee ignoring Minji was the best behavior he did on the show. Minkyu on the other hand was so stupidly kind lending her his shirt. He should have at least ignored Minji no matter how much she cries.

I agree that gwanhee was being petty on the helicopter towards Minji, but i think he was annoyed with her for a different reason. I don’t think it was simply bc he wanted her to choose Jinseok so that he could hear how their date would go or to compete with him, or whatever BS he gave as his reasoning when he asked Minji to go with Jinseok instead of Minkyu. I’m convinced that Gwanhee knew he could definitely end up deciding on Hyeseon if he went to Paradise with her, so in an attempt to prevent himself from looking like an asshole who leaves Minji alone after making all these promises to her, he attempts to make Minji go to Paradise with Jinseok, hoping it would rekindle things between them so he could come back to Inferno with nothing holding him back from happily picking Hyeseon on the final day. Basically, he’s covering for himself because he knows Hyeseon’s been his #1 deep down all along and that he would be swayed (even if just momentarily) if Hyeseon took him. I don’t know if Minji understood this as his true intentions or not with all the excuses he was trying, but at this point it wasn’t even worth trying to argue with her because she was already so set on him. To me, he’s transparent like an open book 🤣 He can say whatever he wants, and give any wack reasoning to justify his actions or words, but I can easily tell what he’s actually thinking most of the time. Now, just because he knows he could be swayed by Hyeseon doesn’t mean I think they’ll end up picking each other. If Minji wasn’t there then it would be a 100% yes to him picking Hyeseon. But he knows that Minji is his potential Hype Girl who will sing his praises and flood him with assurances and be clingy bc she herself seems to be insecure in many of the same ways as Gwanhee. They could mutually satisfy that unhealthy need to be reassured 24/7 for each other and I think he saw this. However, I think he knows he has the best chemistry with Hye and that he’s most attracted to her, regardless of whatever he’s said about Minji or Gyuri or Hajeong being his ideal type as time passed. So it’s really a toss up. In the battle between his seemingly actual feelings for Hyeseon since the beginning and his needy ego’s desire for Minji, who will win? At this point, I have no idea lmaooo. I don’t think he’s a horrible person, but I do think he has a LOT of things he could benefit from working on (like anyone else) and a lot of manipulative habits he could benefit from unlearning. Anyways, I LOVEEE Hyeseon my Queen and I’ll support any decision she makes because I know she can handle herself and put herself first at the end of the day. I’d love to be her friend irl, she seems sooo sweet.

HaySeon indeed deserves better. It's better for Gwan Hee if he ends up single. Totally agree that long-term does not mean healthy relationships and we don't know how and why it ended. My last relationship was kinda unhealthy and I trusted someone blindly and she cheated and ended up with someone else. It lasted 4 years, but it wasn't exactly sunshine and rainbows. Ended 3 years back, and it still stings sometimes, and still single 😂. Tried dating again, but those old feelings kept popping up, messing with my head. Reminds me of Gwan Hee, stuck between wanting someone who digs you and someone you actually dig. In some cases I understand why he is being like that but sometimes not. TBH He should not pick anyone. But people should stop judging participants in the show which was directed and edited for 11 hours out of 168 hours for viewers' entertainment.

Disclaimer: I do not know Gwanhee personally and I doubt many people hating on him do, but before hating, one thing to do is to try to understand his perspective as a 36 year old Korean Pro basketball player who is pretty well known and makes $$$. In Korea, status is a huge thing and he is a well known public figure. As a pro basketball player in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) also having a KZbin channel where he posts his journey on what its like as a pro basketball player, he has a decent following and is well liked by many. Some of these women might recognize him from the KBL and may want to use him for status/fame and fortune which explains why he acts so insecure and needs constant confirmation on the show to see who is actually interested in him for him and not his status/career. We can see Hajeong as an example of someone who he has been rude to many times on the show and she still comes back and apologizes and says she's most interested in him. We can also see in an earlier episode when all the girls got together in their room and roasted Gwanhee, but they still end up interested in him why? One of the answers could be that they know about him before the show and want to use him. The reason I brought up his age is because you're basically expected to be married by that point in Korea, which is why he brought up that if he was to pick for marriage, it would be Hyeson. At that age he is trying to choose who is potentially in it for the long term, and not just to use him for his money and status like mentioned before, but it's difficult b/c Hyeson is attending school. He could also have trauma from a past relationship where his partner ended up just using him as well. Point is that he's getting so much hate for being insecure and his feelings being swayed alot throughout the 1 week that these strangers have together. Most people cant relate to a pro basketball player perspective, and the show kinda did him dirty as well not bringing any female in her 30s. The girls are like all 10 years younger...and the guys are all 31+ except Minwoo. It's not surprising that Gwanhee would be skeptical of 26 year old women wanting to pursue him. In fact it was already revealed that Minji and Hajeong knew about him before the show so...he has all the right to be very careful and skeptical of these people. People were mad at Jong Woo in S2 and calling him a simp b/c he was obviously set only on Seulki the whole time, but now people are mad at Gwanhee for being attracted to 3 different people and being insecure if the women are trying to use him for status Pretty sure he will just pick Hyeson in the end b/c Minji is too flirty, and Hyeson will accept him. Whether or not she has a hidden motive to date him for status, no one really knows but her. The producers of the show did great casting Gwanhee, b/c without him it would be a bunch of guys that are more reserved socially and make for boring reality TV. Jinseok, Minwoo, Mingkyu, Habin, and Wonik I'm sure are nice people, but too socially reserved for reality TV. Having Jia of Season 1, Jinyoung of Season 2, and Gwanhee of Season 3 are the only reason why the respective seasons get talked about.

@@rosa61217 There is no doubt that he has been rude throughout the show, which has always made me wonder why the women are immediately picking him when they get the chance to go to paradise. The women roasted Gwanhee in their room earlier and exposed him as a red flag but they return to pursuing him why so? He has clearly been gaslighting/rude to Hajeong but she keeps pursuing him as her #1 guy why so? One possibility could be that since the camera crew does not film everything 24/7, he is actually very nice person off camera but acts weird when a camera guy is right there with camera to their face. Another possibility is he is acting the way he acts to try to weed out the people who potentially are pursuing him for status and money which looks to be Hajeong so he instantly distanced himself from her after getting to know her more. If these ladies were actually hurt by him, I do not think they will continue to pursue him and would choose literally any other guy instead. There are clearly Minkyu, Habin, and Wonik who have no one pursuing them so why choose Gwanhee over them? One positive thing these ladies can gain from ending up with Gwanhee is more followers/exposure on social media due to dating a well known public figure. And if that was the case, even Hyeson who comes off bubbly and innocent to the audience is a snake in the grass plotting for more exposure. We never truly know their intentions

I used to watch the bachelor and learned a lot about the production side of it, and now whenever I see anyone cry on a reality show I always assume there's more context. if their production is anything like the bachelor, they intentionally try to make conditions behind the scenes harder for the contestants because if they're too tired or hungry (or drunk in the bachelor's case) to think logically it'll make better tv. for one thing, all the girls are constantly saying how tired they are, and if I haven't gotten much sleep for a few days, I can cry at the smallest thing sometimes. some people are better at handling that stuff than others, and also some people are naturally more emotional. I wish viewers would realize these are real people and give them a bit of a break sometimes.

I don't get the gwanghee hate when hyeseong herself said she's not certain and most of them are torn between 2 choices. Everyone's quick to assume his past re can be bad and at the same time say hyeseong deserves the best when no one knows about her past rs or anything, just because she's cute and bubbly. NOTE: These are just my opinions. So take as y’all will. These are just my personal thoughts: Gwang-hee & Min-ji is the only (Because they both immature and toxicity and a wavin red flag that deserves each other poison and hopefully this world can get rid of…) Hye-seong, Min-Young & Ha-Jeong will leave the island ALONE. (Because these 3 do not deserve nor have the right to leave the island with any of the guys especially Jin-Seok and Min-Kyu because I personally believe that these guys deserve too much respect to be a BACK UP plan, for those who say thats too harsh. The 3 Girls especially HS and HJ knew Gwang-hee was a RED FLAG and yet is still interested in him and allow him to do whatever he wanted to them willingly. Thus they MUST except the consequence their own actions, now I’m not saying they are bad people nor a red flag but simply stating after going after a RED FLAG for the ENTIRE season they do not deserve nor can expect to leave the island as couples with any other guys, that in my opinion is SO DISREPECTFULL, now once they leave the show they can do whatever with anyone they want to but just not these guys for they deserve the respect. Jin-seok & Min-kyu will leave island ALONE. (Because of the opposite reason from above which is that none of the females deserve their final choices. These have been extremely respectful with everyone and staying in their own bountries unlike some other contestants. And I hope they will have the SELF RESPECT to not be anyone BACK UP MEN, because they DO NOT deserve to be. I hope they find whatever they wish for after the show but just not with these female contestants. Gyu-ri will leave the island ALONE. (For the same reason for Jin-Seok and Min-Kyu best deserves better outside of the show. Now as for the rest of the CAST; Si-eun, Ha-bin, Won-Ik, & Min-woo they can do whatever they want since there has not been shown enough information for me to personally have opinions on them. However I will say I love Ha-Bin, from what scene they shown us if him I think he too funny😂. End of the Day these are just my opinion and what I believe, y’all have the right believe and do whatever y’all want to. Same goes the these contestants, if Jin-seok and Min-kyu wants to lose their self respect and be SIMPs then they can do so… If Hye-seong and Ha-Jeong stills wants Gwang-hee in the end and they get butt hurt then thats on them. I believe everyone has choices but also consequences for their actions. To End off everyone can do whatever they want as long as they are willing to except the POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE outcomes. SORRY for the LONG speech 😂, my fingers are tired 😢

i reacted the same way when watching the helicopter scene. i feel like people are going unnecessarily hard on minji like she’s only been there two days and her emotions were probably all over the place. it was so obvious to me that minji was just being a crazy delusional girl which is something i feel like most women can relate to😭 In minji’s head her and gwanhee are a done deal, he’s talking to her like she’s his final choice and he’s hers. i get that it was weird for her to do that but it was way weirder to me that gwanhee couldn’t even acknowledge her… i feel like if it was jinseok he would’ve handled the situation playfully or at least smiled at minji but gwanhee was grinning while shoving her hand away like??😭 and you can tell he’s very insecure when it comes to minyuk, it all comes down to pride at the end of the day for gwanhee. i believe he did not do it out of respect for hyeseon.. since when has gwanhee done anything out of respect for those women like be fr

I feel like all of the girls are interesting, but the guys come across as slow and uninteresting. Even Jinseok, who seems like a funny guy, doesn't show much of his personality. On the other hand, Gwan-hee shows us too much of his confusing mind. It's difficult to watch his ego and volatile thoughts about the girls.
