Srinivasan as usual is highly prejudiced. He says india had a reserves of only 2500 crores but never mentions that the worst status India faced was the wrong policies followed by the Congress party. Dr Manmohan Singh had no alternative except to open up the economy as india had to pledge its gold reserves with Bank of England to raise resources. As an economist he was excellent but as a politician he was a dud. He simply listened to Sonia and the Congress clout at the top on political matters and as a result he faced humiliation from his own party. The UPA govt under Dr Manmohan had to digest the corrupt practices of certain parties in power and even faced action in a coal scam. The same congress sided with Arvind kejriwal in recent lok sabha elections and faced humiliating defeat. Srinivasan has no moral rights to defend the congress party in one hand and laud the efforts of Dr Singh because the congress party humiliated Dr Singh through Rahul Gandhi.
