(August 2018) Minneapolis's Metro Transit has two light rail lines: The green line and the blue Line. The blue line goes from downtown Minneapolis to Mall of America, and the green line goes from downtown Minneapolis to downtown St. Paul.
There are two types of LRV that run on this system: Bombardier Flexity Swift and Siemens S70.
This video shows the vehicles in action, how to pay for your fare, and a ride on each line and LRV.
Timestamps to specific parts:

I love the sound of those Bombardier's! Classic to me.

The weird thing though, it’s Toshiba propulsion there on Bombardier Flexity, not Bombardiers.

This looks like an amazing system. Way better than Metrolink imo. Seems nice and clean, and the fare payment system seems well executed and easy to use. Not to mention the AWESOME S70s! Very nice video!

It is seriously awesome not to drive to the mall, and especially to not have to drive home after the sensory overload and exhaustion of being at the mall.

The blue line is getting extended into St. Louis Park and Eden Prairie starting in the Spring of 2019. They have actually talked about doing it for about 20 YEARS, but are finally doing it... And as far as the light rail goes how it is now, I still like it (even though I've only ridden it once). This is one of the few light rails in the US that runs 24 hours a day (well, only the blue line does, but still). The motors on these sound super cool too!

Actually it is the Green line that is getting extended to Eden Prairie. The Blue line extension will be heading northwest to Brooklyn Park.

Even though Chicago does have Metra and CTA a system like this would be beneficial to serve certain areas what lack public transit access.

If you ever come up to Canada you should check out the system in Toronto, or Calgary. Toronto we have Bombardier Flexity Outlook's and soon to get Flexity Freedom's on the upcoming "Line 5" Eglington Crosstown. Although Bombardier has been not doing soo good, and has failed several times to deliver vehicles on time or at all. Soo bad the provincial transit gency Metrolinx ordered trams from Alstom as back up.

And the award for most generic transit agency name goes to... I realize many transit agencies have the name ‘Metro Transit’. They all share that award.

tkefan29 I like the Flexity Swift bell sound way better. The S70s have a really bad layout - the ones here in Minnesota have really tight seating areas

I can tell because of the reader board in the middle of the train car where it tells us what the next station is. I don't think Minneapolis light rail has S70s before because they used a long beep for the announcement tone.

I'm from New York City and we no longer have " street cars" here as most know. Street cars were closer to buses. What I see here with modern light rail is basically a low floor train with 3 flexible cars attached together. This is akin to 6 New York City A division smaller subway cars. 😳 In other words...those are long assed street cars!
