While it is easy to say that Minneapolis is the 8th largest city in the Midwest in population, the real picture emerges when you talk about the Metropolitan population (Using MSA or CSA Data from the Federal Government). The Minneapolis-St.Paul Metro consists of over 200 independent cities and is the 3rd-largest population center in the Midwest after Chicago and Detroit. (And it is steadily catching up with Detroit, which has been near-stagnant for 40 years).

Interesting. Thanks for the info.

@@chrisbiela Yeah, it's interesting that a lot of videos don't take into account factors that are not just one-dimensional. When you look at the bigger picture (for example), right now in 2021, the Minneapolis-St.Paul Metro is the 2nd-largest economic engine of the Midwest after Chicago. Although to be fair, it often trades that rank with Detroit from year to year. But the fact that Detroit has almost a million more people, it makes Minneapolis-St.Paul all the more interesting because of the per-capita generation of wealth. Maybe it's because MSP is headquarters to so many Fortune 500 Corporations, including the world's largest private corporation (Cargill), and world's 15th-largest publicy-traded corporation (United Health). Also really interesting is that Omaha, with just 1 million in it's metro, is home to the world's 14th largest corporation (Berkshire Hathaway). It kind of makes the belief that "flyover land" can be ignored a little ridiculous. Cheers! (Because I'm such a geek) :)

@@tescherman3048 Well. It is hard to include every aspect in a short video. I think some are dedicated to a specific factors and have to stay focused on them. I like to know some of those statistics because I like it and that is why it is interesting for me but everyone looks for something different.

how are you getting your drone downtown passed geofencing? and not getting a call from the FAA

That is a valid question. Geo Zone map changes over time. When I was filming downtown wasn't limited like it is right now. Maybe due to pandemic as well.

Excellent views of Mpls! No, the City Council did not defund the police. The city faces many challenges due to extensive damage from unrest & looting, but it’ll come back. Lots of investment continues to occur throughout the city.

@@chrisbiela Yes, I know the feeling. I will watch my video over and over as I'm editing to make sure all the loose ends are fixed. I will walk away, if necessary, to get a fresh look at it the next time. I understand the time spent completely. I'd rather put out quality not quantity. Even then, I find myself nitpicking my past videos.

Great potential, but most views are what? 4 seconds? Really frustrating for anyone who wants to actually SEE the views and watch them develop with perspective. Is it intended for someone with the attention span of a gnat?

@@chrisbiela Are we talking about the same thing? By "view" I meant how long a given scene lasts. For example, the view of the Walker art center looking south.... my eyes immediately loved this one and wanted to watch, but almost immediately, within 3 seconds it's ripped away and there's the govt center which is gone after 3 seconds, etc. It becomes more like a slide show of photos where you have to click pause it if you actually want see it.

@@echt114 oh. I get it now. Sorry for misinterpretation. It is a music video edited to the beat. My expression. I do not focus on specific buildings. Trying to capture as much as I can from the city. Always something is missing. Usually that is what people are complaining about. There is also a couple of different reasons but not for this moment. Sorry to disappoint you.
