More than a dozen US cities have imposed night-time curfews as protests rage over the death of George Floyd in police custody. DW's Stefan Simons spent the night covering the story in Minneapolis. On two separate occasions he and his crew had encounters with the authorities while doing their jobs as reporters. In the first incident, Stefan told us the police shot at him.
Curfews are in force right now in Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Atlanta among other places. The unrest has been escalating across the country. Demonstrators took to the streets for the fifth straight day, demanding justice for George Floyd AND an end to police violence against minorities. While many protests have been peaceful, some demonstrators have set police cars on fire and there have been incidents of looting. In Minneapolis, where the protests began, police have massed in large numbers and deployed tear gas and rubber bullets to clear demonstrators breaking an 8 pm curfew.

Trump has stopped pretending at this point, living in the twin cities I can personally attest to how things are down here. Previously we had very few issues with the press in this country but after 4 years of him belittling and attacking the press I am not surprised. He has successfully turned a large part of the population against the press.

It depends on the state and weather you apply for city, state, or county. Some jurisdictions hire veterans after the interview process as they “have seen war”. Which believe it or not that is considered a qualification. ALL of the police in Russia were in the army first.

In Hong Kong, no matter under what circumstance there are always a bunch of reporters aiming their cameras towards one policeman, waiting for the timing to shoot a perfect police brutality moment. It is the police who are afraid of the reporters not the reporters afraid of the police. And Hong Kong protesters are way more violent than their counterparts in the USA, they grabbed the gun from a policeman, hit one policeman’s neck with a knife, beat up citizens just because they don’t agree with them, and set an old man on fire. @@silkwesir1444 In normal situations. Their is a groups of people who are trying to incite more violence. Their is a video of a man who was in a location monitoring the riots when asked what he was doing their he said he was from CNN. When they went to the car the man just got out of. it had two others men just sitting their. they ask if they were cnn and they said no. These men were out of place just sitting in a car during a riot. So Reports don't get a pass when people are using the excuse of them being the press. The police who were their job was to keep the street clear of any people.

Unfortunately, the UK doesn't seem to be far from this kind of situation, either. The country has already lost 0.1 per cent of its population to COVID-19, which is more than the US. Economically, things are still a bit better than in the US because social protections have historically been stronger. But decades of successive Tory and crypto-Tory governments have been working on changing this, and things are getting worse fast. There are plans to scrap even the European Convention on Human Rights, which is totally unprecedented for any country in or near Europe that comes even close to being anything but a dictatorship. Freedom of the press and protection against unfair, political prosecution are practically dead already. The situation currently isn't good anywhere in Europe, but in the UK it's roughly as bad as in Hungary or Poland.

Pretty sure you would find some cum stains in Police Underwear. This is literally what many Cops have hoped for. The US is the epitomy of a society which is usually free in nature but has an almost totalitarian Police Force with no controlling institution outside of it.
