We used the same outfitter two years ago for a tow, and going back again this year, def worth the money. Did you all have a depth finder? Think we’re going to kekekabic this year to try for lake trout.

We do bring 1 depth finder for each canoe. I personally use the GPS/down imaging Helix 5 fish finder and love it. Thanks for watching, and I'm glad to hear you're going back!

@@gravesupnorth Good morning! I looked up the Helix 5 you mentioned. Is it powered by AA batteries? If not, how do you power it? I am going out for a 10 day trip this summer. AND, do you happen to know the Campsite # that you guys used? Thanks!

How are you catching the walleye? Are you trolling? Also how many ft back are you trolling for the lake trout with lead core
@gravesupnorth
@gravesupnorth Жыл бұрын
Walleye, we are trolling very slow with a worm harness. Between 8-14ft. For the lake trout, if I remember right, we had the lead core down about 20 ish feet and fishing from 40 to 120 feet of water. Fish were suspended in many different depths. Thanks for watching!

Hey thanks for watching, we used my brother hand painted Rapala's that are roughly 2 to 3 inches in length. Fishing from surface to roughly 40 feet of water

Fantastic Video ... used to go through there 1985 - 1995 What size Rapala do you use? How do you get them to go deep for trout? (Never caught one of those) Loved the pics ...such beauty

Hello! We use roughly 2 1/2- 3 inch Rapalas that my brother hand paints. We also use lead core line with a reel that has a footage reader on it to tell you how deep you are fishing. Thanks for watching!

Awesome video, for all the years I lived up north I never went to the Boundary Waters. This video gave a beautiful depiction of what it is like there. You all do a great job of making videos, Gary and I just love watching them!
