Those gorgeous GE's are the 21st Century equivalent of the late lamented Alcos,as they are also 4 cycle jobs! And remembering that Alcos used GE motors, and electrical gear, they would rate as kissing cousins! Anyway, spectacular scenery, well kept engines, and nice narrative! Thank you 😇 😊!

It’s always nice to see when a professional rail fan edits out or doesn’t show the conductor working 👍🏻 Keeps the crews moving those trains and out of trouble. Seems like there’s some RR managers that just love to watch KZbin videos of their crews to see who they can get in trouble… Grew up in the cities and always loved watching the lone SD40 screaming at north town pulling cars out of the bowl. Hate seeing the big GE’s doing their job now when I visit town Love the vids and extra details you put in them. Makes me feel like I’m still living there watching trains 😁

Squirrel? Where was that little guy at in the video? Thanks for watching!

In the small snippet just before the 5 minute mark, it hops across the tracks. I thought that’s why you clipped in that bit of footage.

Yes, just the newer, bigger units seem to be in favor now.

The 51 started life as Southern Pacific 7874 back in May of 1979. After that, it was acquired by East Penn Railways, and is still in that paint scheme, but with Minnesota Commercial patches to this day.

Emphasis on the steepest grade on the line. I think it can, I think it can..... I thought it could, I thought it could. What a show these things make. Now I believe another portion of the former NP line is now St. Croix Valley Railroad as well. A video of those trains could be pretty cool.

The St. Croix Valley Railroad does have some neat units, and is cool to see. Check out this video I got of them about two years ago now. I need to capture them again. Thanks for watching! Video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hIHGe6OYlteercU

Interesting to see the pair of B23s with different styles of trucks on each one. I run a pair of B23s on my model layout and they have the same (different) trucks. I always thought one of them was wrong, but I guess there is a prototype for everything. Thanks for sharing!

Excellent video. I love all the varied shots you worked in with the voice over. I love watching and listening to the old GEs go to work. Do you have any footage of units 54 or 88?
