Fun/weird fact: There's a Disney short from way back called "Donald in Mathmagic Land" where Donald Duck learns about Math, including the Golden Ratio, Pi, geometry, and a few other things. The narrator teaches Donald to be awesome at pool by showing him that the dots at the sides of pool tables are in fact guides. You can use them as points of a triangle to help figure out your shots. Friggin' blew my mind when I saw it as a teen, and now I'm the US billiards champion! jk, I'm mediocre at best. But the dots thing really does work! That and making sure that when you're about to make a shot that you're looking at the ball you want to hit, not the cue ball.
