Love that river. Grew up just north of there. Fished it my whole life. Awesome job guys. Musky on the fly is on the list.

Muskies on the Cloquet river? I thought it had only smallmouth. Looks like you had a blast. Some nice fish!

I signed in to YT just to comment. Oh yeah, awesome video, bud! I'm basically a baitcaster/ bass guy, but I have broadened to fly fishing in the last few years. Unfortunately for all my other fishing gear, I can see myself becoming exclusively a fly fisher. Muskies on the fly are my target for 2021...

False cast less, strip in the leader all the way to the wire for figure 8's to give maximum control.

Point the rod tip always toward the fly and not in a 90 degree angle. And hold your rod tip near or even under the surface to avoid slack. This all will help you in setting the hook way better and more efficient.
