The sound of a singing reel. That what life is all about. 👍👍🎣

I’m always scared to throw rapalas in rivers fearing I will get them snagged. Looks like you found a nice deeper pool there.

I get snagged a fair amount but can usually work them free

I'll be chasing browns around the beginning of January!

What river is that….the south fork? I mostly hang on the Boise
@OLDHATFISHINGАй бұрын
This spot is kind of a family secret. I'm fine posting up other river names but sometimes I need to keep spots on the down low.
@jeffreydavis8838Ай бұрын
Do you stick exclusively to rapalas on the Boise in the winter or do you mix it up with spinners and other rigs?
@OLDHATFISHINGАй бұрын
Winter and spring I use primarily shrimp on the Boise. Fall and summer I’ll use Raps on most rivers.
@joebare844Ай бұрын
What color Rapala?
@OLDHATFISHINGАй бұрын
Depends on the river but crawdad is always a winner.

You would think that someone who makes fishing videos would know something about fish. But no. The thumbnail is a picture of a cutthroat trout but the caption describes it as a rainbow trout.
@OLDHATFISHINGАй бұрын
That trout is a rainbow all colored up for the winter. Not a cutthroat.
@idahooutdoors6899Ай бұрын
That is a rainbow. If you’re gonna call someone out at least have an idea of what you’re talking about.
@finsfeathersandfaith5595Ай бұрын
Wait….you think that’s a cuttie?
@leonardwolf1820Ай бұрын
@@finsfeathersandfaith5595 I have a six-pound Rainbow Trout that I caught in November on my wall without a trace of red on it's head. And the pictures of cutthroats I've seen look just like the trout in the thumbnail. If I'm mistaken I hope I don't have to be taken out and flogged.

@@leonardwolf1820 The fish in the thumbnail is certainly a rainbow. No hate here but hey, no reason next time to come at someone so aggressively.
