Also, the talent behind McCarthy was a huge drop off. Harbaugh protected McCarthy for Harbaugh. Michigan wasn’t winning the Natty if McCarthy goes down.

50th ranked pass blocking while routinely facing top 25 pass rushes. Kid will be fine. Needs some work on mechanics, adding touch, but he's accurate and is pretty dang good at plays that break down. I was 100% in on Penix as the best passer in the draft, but JJ could be the best QB.

If Walsh asked Rice to block all game long while Montana targeted Clark and Taylor, he did it with his mouth closed. Jefferson is a bit of a brat. Don't like him as a "person" at all.

Sorry boys, the Michigan offensive line was not good. They were great run blockers, but atrocious pass blockers. JJ will be well versed in the Ingram lookout blocks and the Bradbury forklift.

I think they are stalling on JJ's new contract on purpose. Jefferson's new contract is a big story and the Vikings want to milk it for all it's worth. Keeps the Vikings in the news. The Vikings will make the announcement near the start of training camp.

I blame Donashell more than Kwesi for the defensive busts in the 2022 draft. Kwesi had just gotten started in Minnesota and didn’t have his own people in place. So he was force to heavily rely on people that he didn’t know or have trust built with, like Donashell, to identiy the guys they wanted. Flores would have loved Hamilton. But he didn’t fit Donashell’s sit back and do nothing safety concept. So, Vikings traded back for Cine. Etc., etc..

Read between the lines. Coach has JJ as an insurance policy. The game plan is Sam to the SB. There's a case that if all goes to plan JJ may never play a game in a Vikings uniform but will be traded to build team around Sam.

The most unpopular take ever - we should trade Jefferson. I think he expects to be treated like a god at all times (not Diggs level but headed that direction), he’s sensitive around any negative feedback (like he showed in his press conferences when he was injured), he’s prone to injury because he goes for catches with 0 consideration for defenders (maybe the hip drop tackle rules will decrease risks slightly but not enough especially with a rookie QB), and most importantly he’s not a team player. Jj has been interacting with everyone on Instagram and “jetas” only likes posts for Kirk. He ignores jj completely, not even liking his posts. The winning streak last year was when “jetas” was off the field, and while there were a lot of contributing factors, I think the biggest one is that the Vikings were playing like a team instead of the Justin Jefferson show. That’s not an issue with the play calling, an issue with the way other players react mentally when Justin is on the field. He’s going to lose us games, get injured, then be endless dead cap.
