Belichick/Parcels defense. Parcels used a full 3-4 to keep teams guessing whereas Belichick turned it into an amorphous defense that ran both 3-4 and 4-3 fronts with either man or zone behind it. The way Flores is disguising things is different though. He'll literally have the line backers act like safeties, safeties like cornerback and cornerbacks like linebackers.

There is a certain something about your tastes in pics for the comments section...not sure...what...exactly. Now, having beaten both the Texans and the 9ers, there's only a couple things I can see beating us. The KC Chafes, The Buffalo Bills who are looking fire right now...or... Having battled out these last 2 heavyweights back to back, and not saying that the Giants aren't physical as well, We're so battered from these games that the Jets or the Packers turn into a trap game for us. As long as our play callers can keep throwing some fresh stuff in and teams can't figure out our schemes, our defense will continue to ruin not just the odds makers in vegas, but the opposing teams too.

I would say it's different in that LaFleur has actually game planned to Malik's strengths. Realizing he's not Jordan Love and opting for a heavy run attack. KOC tried to make Dobbs run the Kurt Cousins offense, and all the Vikings fans made excuses saying you can't change the playbook mid season. Someone forgot to tell LaFleur. But also, even if true, then why did they sign a QB like Dobbs and not someone that was like Cousins Flacco .

Any comments regarding how porous the Vikings pass defense is? Is it due to garbage time chunk plays or are the Vikings just lucking out with poor QB plays due to pressure at the line? I was trying to find quarter by quarter passing yards stats to see what the first half passing looks like vs. second half but came up empty handed.

The important stat is Points Against. The Vikings defense is 2nd in the league for PA. We are only allowing 10 pts per game at the moment.

When you are looking at the Vikings look towards the bottom and you will see either "advanced defense" or "defensive splits". Defensive splits is what you are looking for they break it down by quarter. We are giving up the most passing yardage by far in the 4th quarter and in the 2nd half of games. Check out that site and scroll around you will see what you are looking for.
