The last time Detroit had a 12-win regular season performance, that was way back during the 1991 edition when the National Football League was still using the 17-week 16-game-per-team regular season format. Now, 32 years later, using the current 18-week 17-game-per-team season format, the Lions are able to achieve another 12-win run as they head to the playoffs for the 19th time and their first in 7 years. I'll only say that Mitchell is something of a secret weapon at tight end. Still a perfect 14 for 14, catching everything thrown his way in his career, and is an excellent blocker. I'll be interested to see what he does being elevated to starter. Hopefully Wright can get back next week to help out also.

Rams have been playing great ball and they have a veteran QB who has done it before. Detroit is gonna be a hard out for any team. That being said Rams and Lions match up evenly to me. I've seen two 10 win seasons. I've seen an 11 win season. NEVER a 12 win season. This season was by far the best season in our history so far!!! Not only did we sweep the NFC South and the AFC West. We swept the previous NFC North Champions and took the title from them in their stadium! By far, the best season in our history yet. If we win our first home Playoff game since 1991, that will make things even better!!! Hell, if we make the Super Bowl, win or lose, that would make this season one for the ages!!!

I listened to the start of the game on the radio on my way home from church. Funny how when the Lions scored the first TD Paul Allen was so quiet and boring I actually almost missed that they scored. PA must mumbled Goff pass, touchdown. Now if the Vikes do anything then PA is screaming like a lunatic. I know it's the Vikings Network but PA is the most obnoxious homer I've ever heard call games. I can't stand his over the top screaming but at least the Vikes lost and PA doesn't have anything scream about. I love it. Shut up PA

I really can't stand over-the-top homers either. A little extra something for the home team is fine, but almost every local broadcaster anymore are just cheerleaders...getting all pouty when the other team makes a good play. C'mon...
