Foligno & Trenin's "meh" play so far worries me...I assumed Spurgeon wasn't going to be able to stay healthy, so not surprised

A question Russo and Smith should ask Billy is IF Kirill doesn't sign an extension on July 1st, how does that NOT mean he intends to leave the Wild? Leopold already said they will offer him more $ than anybody else, so $ won't be an issue, we are the only team that can offer him 8 years of term, so that won't be an issue, we'll give him a full NMC for the 8 years so that won't be an issue. So if he wants to stay in MN, why would his signing go past July 1st?

If spurgeon is out long term, becomes ltir they must make a move in november maybe a couple of moves. The luxury they have with the prospects is there is so many they can use a few of em to get somebody on a bad team.

With Spurgeon gone the future of the blue line is fine. I would not trade Brodin. He would be part of the 5 year plan. Especially having 3 year at $6 mill. He will fair better physically than Spurgeon over the next 3 years years. Unfortunately for Spurgeon it is in the best interest for the Wild if he LTIR's for the rest of his contract. We would have almost too much money for free agency. I don't see Sens trading Tkachuck this year regardless of playoff picture. However I think he could be traded in the off-season and we would be in great shape to bring him in. ton of prospects to unload with a 1st Rd pick. I'd trade Rossi, Hartman and 1st rd pick for Brady Tkachuk.
