Probably because he was outshines by lively which had been the better big in these playoffs. Both have been so great for the mavericks though. Gafford and pj washington have been absolute game changers

Mavs won in 6 against OKC so it would have been easier for the Mavs against the wolves

The Wolves have the tools to execute that defensive gameplan that the Thunder used to near perfection cuz they have bigger & longer defenders & all the open shots that PJ got in the Thunder series wouldn’t be open as a result of the Wolves players just being bigger & longer. The real reason why the Mavs beat the Thunder is cuz the Thunder couldn’t score on them effectively at all.

Wolves backcourt doesn't match up as well vs. Mavs as Thunder did. Kyrie's too quick and Luka's too strong

They can't OKC is a smaller and faster team hence they can blitz Luka and Kyrie whenever they had the ball, Wolves aren't that fast especially with Rudy on the floor and Rudy on the bench mavs were 14-14 from the field in game 1 :D

PJ WAS wide open vs the wolves. He just missed. He won’t make them all but he’ll make more than he did in game 1
